Well, like everyone else, I've been bitten by the Moana bug. XD the movie was amazing and was really impressive. Now, I'm not going all in and starting a Moana collection. I'm not crazy.

But the symbology in the movie was really poignant, especially Maui's tattoos. So I think that's what I'm going to collect!

Here are the two pins so far that I would really love :

I teach ancient world literature a lot, and myths have always been a major passion of mine. And symbols especially are something I really hone in on in my own work, so these are pretty on point for me.

So there, two Moana pins. Not crazy. Not WDI. I should be safe, right? Hahah!

If I get the chance to see it again this weekend I will be trying to get Pua, but I don't have the greatest luck with those AMC packs, so if I wind up with Hei Hei instead I'll save him for you.

I'm afraid I'm going all in with a Moana collection. XD But it's mostly a "What I can afford" deal.

I've seen some people on Instagram with the Tattoos, maybe check there?
 
Best of luck! I'm not going all in (because I don't like the art style of some of them) but the ones I want are the hardest to get already! DX

Yeah, some of them are pretty standard. But the unique ones are really awesome! What bugs me is that on some of them, Hei Hei looks angry, not crazy. I'm wondering if they were made from production art before HH's character was finalized...

I bought the soundtrack on my way home from the cinema and I can't stop listening to it! I still tear up during 'The Song of the Ancestors' and the reprise of 'How Far I'll Go'. If a Gramma Tala pin becomes available, it's going straight to the top of my priority list! Good luck with the hunt for those pins Merlin, they are fabulous!
 
We had a chance to see the movie last week on our Disney Cruise. We saw it in 3D in the large Walt Disney Theater. What a great movie with amazing animation, especially of all the water.

However, as I'm trying to downsize my pin collection, I won't be starting a Moana collection.

I did helped to get my two grandchildren started collecting pins. They both started with no pins and ended up with at least a dozen apiece.
