I'm new to pin trading in the sense that I have never really traded. I have had pins since a couple of years ago, mostly just purchased at WDW. So! That being said, what should I know going into this? What should I look for when buying pins on Ebay (in the way of fake pins and such), how do I identify a fake pin, what is with all of this lingo and all of these acronyms that you guys like to use, etc! :)

If you are registered to PinPics then I guess there it tells you if the colours are different to the real one, and back stamps sometimes can appear larger or out of place :)

Wow. There is a lot to learn. We need a primer of sorts. I dont know if there is such a thing currently. In lieu of that, I'd read as much as possible up here and on pinpics.

Yeah, I am trying to read as much as I can wherever I can, but there is still stuff I am curious about (terms I haven't heard, and specific things to look for when buying pins from people). Right now I only know one thing for certain about my current collection, and that is that one of my Figment pins (Figment's head in a heart) is fake because the background is pink instead of purple.
