Suspicious Disney Auction Pins on the Evilbay

I was interested in some pins but saw some others the seller had in stapled bags...any ideas on the authenticity of these they have a few I want but after seeing this I want to report them

A few of the very early pins from Disneyana conventions were gifts given in stapled, small plastic bags. That's probably not what you're seeing from the sellers, but I wanted to mention the fact.

Oh wait. Never mind. You're talking about Disney Auctions pins. I should read more carefully.

i also saw 2 sellers had the same pin a da le 100 in a stapled plastic bag i thought it was kind of weird so i asked if they had the original card and they both told me that these pins came like that in a bag and not on a card . i didnt believe it so i just stayed away .

As far back as I remembered, all auction pins came with the black backer card and a soft sleeve inside a plastic bag that was taped, then they moved to zip loc baggies

yeah thats what i thought the bag they had the pin in wasnt even big enough for a card . ill tell you the pin #9808

No, some of the early early Auction pins did just come in a plastic bag. I know some of the early stitch sets came that way as well as an early Snow White set.

I can confirm some of the early auction pins (NBC sets , Pooh Halloween set) all come in bags and not on cards. I purchased them directly from DA many years ago.

Are these holograms only on the DA 100s ?

I'm not sure on the holograms I have a few da pins and the only one with a sticker is a le 250 the others are all le 1000
