What was the first pin you traded for?

For me it was this Flounder Hidden Mickey. I got it at Disney World, but unfortunately it turned out to be a scrapper. This was when I was first starting out and wasn't aware of the fakes and scrappers out there.

My first trade was this pin:

It is still one of my most favourite pins I own and by far my favourite pin that doesn't belong with a collection of mine.

I think my first trade was also for scrapper.....but I traded with a very nice cast member who I talked with a bit. She was getting ready to leave the job, but it was because she all excited because she had just gotten engaged and was moving to be closer to her fiance. So in the end, the memory ended up being better then the pin !

Oh wow. I can't even remember our first trade. But I can tell you it was with a cast member and probably fake. We thought we were so cool with our ebay pin lot lol We've come a long way since then.

Mine was with a cast member too, I was only about 6 and I only had one pin but I wanted two of hers and she let me have them both! They where a cinderella and a Minnie Mouse, they where not scrappers luckily as I think back then scrappers were not as common

It was a mickey pin. now I can't remember the pin... However it was in 2003 or 04 I wanna say with Two nice elder ladies.

I heard they both passed away sadly,

This was my first trade...



I got it off a cast lanyard the day I started trading, almost two years ago.

I was so happy when I collected all three ghosts!

But a month or two down the road, I decided to cut back on my Haunted Mansion collection, so I zapped the three hitchhikers to a friend. She thanked me but also gently informed me that they were all scrappers. D'oh! :doh:

My first trade was with a cast member and the pin was an authentic hidden mickey that is still in my collection to this day. I got it because it reminds me of my husband both because I think he is most like the Disney character Eeyore and he is a Taurus. It's definitely one of my favorite pins because it was my first trade and it reminds me of my husband.
