okay, so we are leaving on the 6th right after my son gets out of school to drive overnight to Virginia....

This Fantasyland pin event...is it a pin trading event too? Or just a pin release? I would anticipate getting there around 6...would there still be pins left, and how long do you think it would take for me to come in...buy the pins I want, and then fly so we can continue on our way...? Thoughts??
 
yes it is a trade night also the doors do not open till 5pm the pins are higher LE so I think people will rush in to get table spots to trade and the pins I think may sell out but I do not think it will as fast as the PTN. only two I think will sell out fast is the jumbo and the train they are a low LE
 
Thanks Tori....I am not interested in those 2 pins anyway...so I might be okay then How awful it will be to run in and run out though! Not fair!! I wanna stay!!!! But I cannot...I HAVE to be at wedding. Rats!
 
ooh, that's good to know. I don't know if we have that long. Will I have wait in line to buy ALL the pins at once? Or do I wait in line for an hour to buy one pin, and then go to the next line for another pin and wait again....how does that work?
 
I have a feeling it will be similar to star wars weekend where the non passholder pins will be behind the counter and the rest of the pins you pick up prior to paying at the register.at the last pin event in Orlando, I had to wait a little over an hour to purchase the pin trading night pin
 
And the pins can be purchased all the once, actually you tell them what you want and then you fall in line at the register to pay. So your in line to pick up pins and then you head to the register.
 
they normally have them in bins at PTN and then you tell them what ones you want... they normally have about 4 reg open I will be there early Thurs. but I will be alone no hubby or kids
 
And, if we get caught in traffic....if I show up later would the wait be less? Or is it usually a consistent line all night?

And I am also wondering if they will have any of the Pluto's Christmas pins there as well? Man, I sound totally needy...don't I!

I think it's going to be a crapshoot line wise.. I think a lot of it will come down to if the LEs are correct (you can't tell me a LE 3,000 and a LE 2,500 and a box set/jumbo were plentiful enough for a 12+ hour line and still had 200-300 for the next WEEK) but I just don't see them running out of EVERYTHING before the night end so yes I'd say the line would eventually die down (when no idea- depends on the amount of registers they have..)

But I doubt they'll have the PoMH as whose batch would they take..

I'm going for trading night and if the line dies down a pin or two but won't be fighting the line madness

Thank you! I spoke to my hubby about it...apparently the longer I am there, the longer I will have to drive in the morning So it's up to me how long I stay...althought I won't be going for trading...because I will have to stop at 2 places, one for those pins, and one for the PODM.
 
Stacey they sometimes have the POTM at events but with there is so many pins to buy and it not being at normal location I think going somewhere else to buy POTM is the best.
