I will be doing a full report with pictures very soon. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everybody who took time out of their busy lives to come and have some fun with us at our pin party last Saturday. It always amazes me to see how many people want to come say hi and have some fun trading these little pieces of metal that most of us here are crazy enough to collect.

The fact that so many people came from great distances to be with us is truly an honor to us. We can't thank you enough!!! I would also like to thank our most active admin Stef (dancecats) for showing up. It was very nice of you to come and the zap you brought for Amy was amazing!!! You do need to get your pins listed though, you sneaky girl you. :nono:

I want to again thank Darlene and Nena (btw Nena gives the best hugs, if you didn't get one from her you missed out) for everything the did to help make this event possible!!!

We had over 80 people at this event. Every seat in the house was filled up and it was standing room only. These things keep getting bigger and that is wonderful. It is a great chance to meet new people and spend time with long time friends, both that I have traded with forever and who I have met in the past.

These are so much fun for us to plan and we can't wait until next year when we can do it again!!! These are a success because of you our DPF family!!!

Sounds like it was a blast! I have enjoyed seeing everyone's pin hauls in the other thread!

Hopefully I can make it to the next event! So glad to hear everyone had such a fun time and that the event was a success!!
 
No, thank you to David and Amy for hosting this wonderful pin trading party. It was truly a fun, fantastic opportunity to see some established friends and put faces to the names of those I have been interacting with for the first time. In light of all of the (shall we say?) drama that sadly has divided our community, it was refreshing and amazing to see everyone come together, united by friendship and our love of these shiny pieces of metal. It truly was a blast and I can't wait until we can do it again.

On a more personal note, David and Amy, I'm so very glad that you loved the zap. I was going through my pins, came across it, thought I saw it on your signature, and knew at once that it had to become a zap for Amy. That's too gorgeous a pin not to be given the loving home it deserves. I'm working on my DPP account, I promise; I may even consider a grail signature ... maybe ... . ;)

To everyone else, I'm very much looking forward to seeing your pictures of the night, especially of the pin hauls (I'm looking at you, Sora, in particular). I want to see how everyone did with their trades and zaps!
 
Wishing I could have been there my friend! Hopefully I will be able to make it to Jersey when you guys are there! :x: I would love to finally meet you and the family mister! :)
 
OMG what a TIGGERIFIC time I had!! Thank you David & Amy!! I got to meet soooo many people from DPF ... some I've traded with but had not yet met in person ... it was beyond fabulous!! I spent some wonderful time with David, Amy, Darlene, Nena, SusieSue, Diablo, pdgurl & MrShaun, GoofyMoe (my brother from another mother, lol!) and his lovely Rebecca!! And with Vixy, echan50, StitchTrader & Family, MMiano, AverysFairyTail, Echo, Amy, John (d.ducks), AgentR and soooo many others that I can't think of right now, lol! WOW ... what a blast!!! Sir David you really DO know how to throw a great party!! :bowdown::rock:

The only thing that would have made this party even BIGGER is if Dawny had been able to make it!! :( Missed you lady!! Next year for sure ok? Pinky swear?? Lol!

Thank you David and Amy for such a fun event. I really had a great time. I finally got to meet Bjean. What a sweetheart she is. It was good seeing everyone and getting in some good trades. Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
 
Dang. Last year it was our car, this year I was and still am in Gods country. That's Texas for all that don't know. Home of Whataburger and BlueBell ice cream. Mmmmm

glad ad to see y'all had a great time again. We will make it to your party one of these days. Congrats to everyone on the very nice pins. I hope everyone had fun and is happy with the new treasures they found.
 
I also enjoyed seeing the pin hauls ! Maybe one day when I visit out west, we can come down, but otherwise, happy trading everyone!
