That feeling when... (Mini rant) >.<

Usually I'm opposed to ranting, I try not to as it only breeds more negative attitudes but I simply cannot sit at the computer right now and internalize the disappointment/anger lol (I don't even know what it is I'm feeling right now).

Regardless, that feeling when your grail is for sale and you cannot afford it >_<

I'm sure many of you have already felt it, especially when it comes to Evilbay. At the moment, one of my grail of all grails (probably my second most wanted out of every pin ever lol) that is rarely on Ebay is on Ebay ending in a few hours and it just surpassed my threshold for how much I can afford. I assumed it would be too much for me to afford since I started watching it about a week ago but it really disappoints me that it crossed the amount I can spend on it only hours before ending lol It was almost like over the past few days I became hopeful that I might be able to buy it only to have that hope destroyed over the course of an hour :banghead:

Not only that but it also passed the amount it sold for the last time it was sold on Ebay (which was months ago) and that also makes me feel like I missed out on it last time. I mean, I know patience is a virtue and I'm trying to stay confident that I will get it eventually, but it seems like whenever I try to get this specific pin I am left with little to no options With a single digit number of people trading it on Pinpics I know I have nothing worthwhile and it just disappoints me (it doesn't anger me, I would never let myself get really stressed out over a pin unless I knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel...that is foolish in my opinion).

Okay, I'm kind of glad I wrote this because right now I'm considerably more ambivalent than I was in the beginning, I'm kind of mellow right now in that transition state where I'm neither overly excited nor really mad.

I know one day I'll get you my pretty...one day...

Aww I'm sorry! I definitely know the feeling a grail of mine was up for grabs and ended today but it surpassed my spending limit and I was gutted. We just have to keep hoping our patience will win out!

Is everyone's grail ending today haha xD Yeah, I have the tab to the auction opened up on my internet browser and it is so tempting when I keep looking at it but I have to convince myself to not bid lol because I know I can't xP

haha no need too. I've already been zapped a grail (or two...DUN DUNN DUNNN!!!) and DPF now provided me a way to release a little bit on anxiety that doesn't involve complaining to my mom (she has heard enough of it already haha xD).

I know I'll get it, staying positive is always healthy and it sets a long terms goal. Sure it might take a very long time (now I'm getting myself nervous again) but I know it'll happen (insert any Disney song name here that deals with wishes or dreams).

We can all paypal you a set amount, $5. If twenty members do this thats $100 to assist in your grail.

Wow Angel that is so extremely generous of you ^_^ However, I could never accept that, the people of DPF are way too nice as it is and I would almost feel like I'm taking advantage of the generosity which I am already unbelievably thankful for.

I know I'll get it, I know I will, right now just may not be the time.

I always tell myself, another one will come along. And one always does eventually. Sometimes it may take awhile, but so far I have not been disappointed in my Maleficent quest.

I don't know that feeling yet. But I know when a Pixar Studio bear pin goes up...I will probably cry buckets!

I didn't want to say, but I put a hint about it in the OP and at that rate...pretty much everyone already knows if you look at my grails in my signature and then the OP so I might as well just say it's the Jessica as Catwoman (the pin says Cat Burglar but COME ON!!! Dressed like catwoman, stealing jewels lol) and I have an odd mini-obsession with Catwoman and Poison Ivy (if they ever made a Jessica as Plant Lady that looked like Poison Ivy), IDK what I'd do.

That is so cool that people are willing to help you get your grail and have zapped you with others. I'm a bit jealous. But very glad you and others have found those kind of friends here on the boards. I hope you get the pin soon!

Do what I do, buy that mother no matter what then sell everything in sight. I can NEVER trade for my grails because people want crazy things or don't have it. I have bought every single one. I usually sell a lot of my pins, anything laying around the house, video games, books, sunglasses haha, have yard sales. You just have to find a way to make money. Give yourself the goal of an amount you have to make and be proactive about making it. Because you spent it, you HAVE TO make that money back, and fast. You'll be surprised how much money you can make just by selling things you don't use. The way I see it, you can take two roads. Let it slip and be sad about it or take action. Get your pin! good luck!

That is a really good mentality and I was just about to think of something like that but then the pin is now going for over $150?!?!?! The last time the pin was on Ebay it sold for $70, I really am just in utter shock right now :facepalm: $150 is out of my price range for nearly anything, not just pins. Good luck to whoever wins that precious jewel (get it, cause she is holding one lol), they really will love it, I know I would haha xD

And, for a whopping total of $175, the pin sold for well over double it did last time. I keep telling myself not feel defeated, it's only a pin, but sometimes it really does suck watching the clock tick down in those final seconds and knowing you can do absolutely nothing about it

Also, yeah, I don't see how it went for that much, it just jumped up from $90 to $150 in a few seconds O___O The pin definitely seems to be one of the more wanted Jessica pins but nowhere near the top so I find it hard to believe the pin went for so much as well It also saddens me because that only means that the pin will be priced higher from now on, putting it farther from my grasp. This makes both of my top 2 most wanted pins around that price range and well above what I can get >_< DARN YOU PINS FOR BEING SO PRETTY! lol

People are really generous and I love that they offered to help, but I could never have afforded that price tag anyway ^_^

I don't think we are allowed to post Ebay links here so I would take that down before someone tells you too >_< Also, no, that is not a real Disney pin. There are a whole bunch of "Fantasy" pins which are fake pins that people like and wish existed that can be made. There is one just like that pin except with Jessica, Ariel, and Belle <_<

I've seen those. They aren't from Disney, I know that much. Also they tend to come in a variety of colors more often than not and the detail and quality on them is horrendous judging by the pictures. I mean, in that auction, where's her neck!? :shock: They are just... no. Icky. :down:

Yeah, I can't say I'm shocked it happens a lot xP It has happened to me before, but not really with a pin so rare I mean, this may not be my #1 pin (#2 to be exact) but from what I've seen, it seems to be harder to find and get than my #1 so I'll stay hopeful ^_^
