So...I have a bad habit of keeping my pins in mailers, and throwing those mailers in large bags. Then when I finally have a good amount to go through, I put them in the appropriate collections, pin trading bags, etc. Well...like almost every other pin collector out there, I do collect Tangled. Because they are so difficult to come by, I haven't looked at my Tangled collection in a really long time. I've been collecting them in a bag because I get a little depressed when I think about how far I have to go. lol Tonight I decided to pull them out and organize them all together.

Now here's where I felt like an idiot...sitting nonchalantly in my collection was this pin...

Pin 81588: DisneyStore.com - Tangled Rapunzel Pin

...which I could have sworn I did NOT have!!! lol I don't know how, but I had convinced myself I had passed on this pin at the time because it was the same pose as the open edition...only to realize tonight that I've had it all along. Oy vey. Happy mistake. haha One less pin to go after. ;)

Someone PLEASE tell me they've done something similar! lol

It's never happened to me with a pin, but like Clara said, it has happened to be with all sorts of stuff :) Just be glad you didn't:

1) Use that envelope and mail it to someone else for them to think it was a zap
2) Throw that envelope in the washer machine for some reason xP

WOW! It's like when you find forgotten cash in jackets or pants, and you get all happy! This is even better!! :)
Exactly! haha

Just the thought makes my stomach churn! lol

If only...lol! If I wish really hard maybe I can conjure some. ha!

Oh Steve...would you like me to come "clean" for you? ;)

Just the other night, I found a zip lock bag with all of the DLR Magical Milestones series in it (54 pins), disneyshopping Tinker Bell Framed set, a disneyshopping Jessica Bathing Suit pin set and an unopened disneystore box with the Character Logo Dangler series in it (including duplicates) and I still haven't found a bunch of the DSF marquee pins I know I have. :sigh:

Great find!

I have been collecting the Tink LE 100 International series...

pin46473

And not too long ago someone made a post that they scooped a few of them up for a great price on eBay. I responded that I was happy for them but jealous, because I still needed Italy, Japan, and Morocco.

Well I was just going through my boxes the other day (like you do...I wait until I have a bunch of pins and then organize them all) and I found Tink Italy, which I completely forgot I traded for! It was a pleasant surprise. :)

On the flip side, I sometimes try to trade away pins I have already traded and no longer have...I really need to get in the habit of keeping my collection up-to-date!

Those Tink pins are lovely! :) But I do have to say, I'm so glad I'm not the only one! ;)

Oh I can sooooo relate! I purchased the 6 pin set of Pirate Stitch pins (LE 100 each!) directly from Disney Auctions ... got them, love them, looked at them over and over ... and then one day decided my pins were waaaay out of control so I started "organizing" ... yeah well that is where things may have gone south as I cannot find those darn Pirate Stitch pins!! And I've looked everywhere I can think of :anxious: ... near as I can figure they must have yo ho, yo ho'd their way back to sea or something, lol!

Major announcement ... Update from Northern California ... Crazy Disney Pin Collector FINDS missing pins ... news at ....... NOW! lol!

I FOUND MY MISSING DISNEY AUCTION PIRATE STITCH PINS!!!! And a whole box of others! Yippee!!! Doing the happy pin dance!! lol! I've been looking for these pins for more than 2 years ... so yesterday while still going through ALL my pins and trying to organize them, I realized that I was in fact, missing more than just the DA Pirate Stitch pins!! I was missing several other DA LE 100 pins ... :eek2: ... so I decided to go through my closets, etc. AGAIN! I then pulled out everything from under the bed (yes, I did this before ... or so I thought) ... because I have degenerative joint desease in my knees it's REALLY hard to kneel :sigh: ... but I did and even crawed under the bed a bit. Pulled out big box of wrapping paper, another big box of old pictures ... no pins. Went to the end of the bed and moved the seat at the end of the bed and pulled out two more smaller boxes, no pins, ugh! :anxious: Reached under there one more time ... what's this? Another box? Pulled it out and as soon as I saw it, picked it up, I KNEW!! TA DA!!! :bigthumb: A shoe box FULL of Disney pins! Yea!!! There were 18 DA LE 100 pins in there including the Pirate Stitch pins! And lots of other pins I had forgotten about! :hsd: It was like Christmas! So now those wayward pirates on back on the Ship!! :mickey: I am sooooo happy!

The moral of the story ... NEVER GIVE UP!! These darn pins have been missing for more than 2 years!!! :dunno: And Steve ... there's still hope for your missing DSF pins!!! I'm sending you positive vibes and pixie dust that you can find them!!

Take care everyone ... wishing you all the very best!!! *bjr

Woot woot!!! Congratulations!!! It's the best feeling, right?!?! :D

We moved recently and we have been collecting since 1999 all of our pins we packed ourselves when I finally got time we started unpacking them well at the end of the unpacking I realized I was missing two boxes of pins big boxes I tore the house apart many many times nothing nada. I called the moving company nothing. Went by the old house again nothing. I thought I was losing my mind. Finally we have some old steamer trunks the ones that look like pirates chests down I. The basement we have never stored anything in them ever my daughter opened one and tada there they were. I still have about 300 pins I haven't cataloged and put in pin pics as we didn't start online trading until last year. I thought I had lost my mind I knew I had bought ALOT of sets from DA and DS and couldn't find them ..... I felt like an idiot lol
