I browse through the bay often to see if I pick up some pins at a great price. I can't help but to chuckle over those auctions that say "RARE" "HTF" and you take a look at the pics and they are a bunch of hidden mickey pins or pins that you see all over the place.

My fav is the "rare VHTF" Rapunzel rack pin you see in the parks with asking prices up in the $20.00 range. Granted, it is only available in parks...... Rare it ain't.

Out of curiousity one time, I contacted a seller of a rack rapunzel with an asking price of $23.99... I couched it as , "is this the DS.com rapunzel, the jerry liegh or the open edition one?"

The persons reply. "There is only ONE rapunzel pin of this style, that is the one I am selling."

But of course we all know that the DS.com one is very similar but bigger and limited, and the jerry liegh one is almost exactly that same. lol

LOL! I forgot to add "Vintage"

We should post a listing for: L@@k at my RARE VHTF VINTAGE One and Only Rapunzel Pin.

It's funny because I was wondering why people on the forum called ebay evilbay and it was not until when I tried finding disney pins for sale to purchase that I finally realized oh this is why it is called evil bay. Some of the prices are ridiculous.

While some of the prices are beyond ridiculous, I've gotten some limited editions for pretty cheep. I recently won 4 LE PatP pins for $10.

However, my favorites are always the hidden mickey pins priced at $40-100. My one Little Mermaid grail (Ariel freeD flower) is currently listed for about $75 (I got her for about $15 with shipping).

My personal favorite: LE 300, HTF GRAIL, ONE OF A KIND!!!!Wait, LE 300, one of a kind? You sure about that? Sounds like 300 of a kind to me.

Either the parties posting the sales are morons or they are counting on the new traders not knowing anything and willing to take the bait.

I love the auctions that are selling scrappers who try to justify it in the description by saying they don't have backer cards and were traded for with a cast member at the park (these are LE 100-300 pins...no CM is going to have them on their lanyard)...
