In the last few weeks, there have been 2 different auctions on that site for my grail pin. The first one went for $2 over my budget, but I was already regretting bidding that high to begin with. Now, there is another one with a buy it now around the same price the last one went for. When I check the seller's feedback, it appears she has been selling scrappers at some point. So, would you buy from her? Does anyone else think it's fishy that suddenly a LE 25 pin has been on ebay twice in the last month? To my knowledge, there has never been one for trade on pinpics and now there is one all of a sudden as well. Would love any advice....honestly, if I find out that there are now scrappers of this pin, I think I will want to quit trading all together.

I see the seller doesn't accept refunds either. Nor is it a picture of the actual pin, but the Pinpics pic. With that much money involved, I would pass.

THANKS guys for your advice...it's the LE 25 D23 Naveen as frog from the mystery set. I really only have about $250 to spend and the last one on ebay went for $302.50 but it was four of the mystery pins in the original box. I'm definitely kicking myself that I didn't buy it, but I really only want to spend $250. Does anyone want to send out some trade requests for the one on pinpics? I don't have anything he needs, but I would definitely pay $250 as long as it's authentic :)

I contemplated that as well. I think she's open to negotiation on price. I bought another pin from her and commented on wanting that one. She said she'd accept a reasonable offer. I can't even go to $250 for it Brea. I've just come to the conclusion that I'll never have it.

I have purchased from her before when I did not know about the scrappers and when I was just starting out. At that time, she was definitely selling scrappers, i just did not know it until I discovered dizpins.

I think there are some high quality unauthorized copies of some popular LE pins lately. I have seen someone (not near the parks) sell Jessica as Alice pin (57574) about 6 times or so in a matter of 2 months. A lot of other pins this person offers are in $2-3 category and they are among the scrapper pics I had seen before.

I cautiously suggest not to buy. IMO it is better to have your $250 in your pocket and have a bit of longing/regret instead of being out of $250 and regretting a piece of costly junk.

If you want to make a better informed decision, maybe you can e-mail her to send you a picture of the actual pin - front AND back.
And, oh ... is it possible that SHE was the buyer for the other four pin set and now she is breaking it apart to make more $$ out of it?
