So I just want to see what other people's takes are on this.
What would you say are the top ten most popular/sought after/htf pins out there?
My list would be
10) Ariel Beloved Tales
9) Da le 100 Ariel on Rock
8) Ariel Reveal Conceal
7) Enchanted Marquee
6) Ariel Carousel le 100
5) Tangled marquee
4) Rapunzel Compact
3) Jumbo Art Nouveau Ariel
2) Up marquee
1) Reveal Conceal Rapunzel


Or something like that. What would your list be?

I would say your list is largely right but the fact that Designer Rapunzel and Ariel aren't on there shock me :lol: I'd probably just put DP Rapunzel as 6 and move everything else down 1 and then Designer Ariel somewhere around 5-7
 
1. Rapunzel RC (not the rarest but DEF MOST EXPENSIVE!!!)
2. SB Gomes (this is my number one!!)
3. Ariel Art nouveau
4. Jumbo stained glass belle and beast (AMAZING!!)
5. Ariel carousel (heck ALL THE CAROUSELS)
6. UP marquee (its so ugly but whatevs)
7. Designer Rapunzel (there goes punzie and her popularity)
8. Kiss the Girl Gomes
9. Beauty and the Beast masterpiece pin
10. Maleficent Dragon Gomes

I PERSONALLY have to say, that MOST le 100s, especially princesses pins are insane because they are always
in older collectors houses in shoeboxes and storage units and they probably have like 10 of them LOL

but I am going more off rarity than monetary because you can put multiple compacts on ebay and they'll sell for 1000+ vs.
a Gomes pin, pins that people trade 10x harder than they actually are, but there are multiple people trading the RC Punzle and
0 trading the Mali dragon Gomes, so I always would rather take the rare factor into account
 
I think this list fairly tilted towards Princess pins. It seems to ignore other types of pins such as Haunted Mansion, villains, pooh bear, figment, etc. As an example, with pins over 300 wanting: [pinpics]1098[/pinpics], [pinpics]2028[/pinpics], [pinpics]2939[/pinpics], [pinpics]1282[/pinpics], [pinpics]66759[/pinpics]. Other pins are impossible to get such as [pinpics]5297[/pinpics]; I mean, if I want a marquee I can buy one fairly easy (It might be expensive as heck, but still obtainable); in twelve years of pin trading I have only seen Paris Friendship Day pin once in someone's collection

I think it also depends a lot on each person. While some pins will always be popular, LE 100 Ariel pins for example, some will go in and out of fashion. I am waiting for the Tangled bubble to pop. Rapunzel will eventually be kicked off her throne for most popular pins. Stitch was the ruler for awhile and while some of his pins are still expensive/rare, the prices have dropped for many of them. That being said, I think there are a top ten most popular pins for all the different character pins. I don't think there is 10 universal most popular pins.

I guess I'm too old school but I don't think ANY pin deserves to be on a top 10 list until its atleast 5+ years old and stood some test of time...

Cause you can't have a list of top 10 pins without pins like maleficent diva,original gracey, wet paint, 20,000 leagues poh, Mickey for president where 10+ years later they are still impossible to find (of those listed I've still never seen a Mickey or Diva pin in real life and Ive been trading since 2000...)
 


I am curious to know what you think the rarest pin is.

And I would also say that this pin is not only the rarest Jessica but definitely up in the top ten. It is the Jessica as Marilyn 48745. Almost no has it. This is the story about this elusive pin.

Pinpics-

Although this pin was sold out on August 17, 2006 for $105.00, according to DA, these pins were "lost". E-mails were sent to the winning bidders stating that management has agreed that if they are able to find the inventory for the pins, they would release the item in a future auction although DA no longer exists.
