I feel really bad guys! I did a trade with someone in Hong Kong and I got their package but they still haven't received mine. I mailed it on February 12th and the post office said it would arrive in about 10 days, but I just got an email from the trader and they still don't have it. I'm not sure what to do. I am going to take a photo of my customs declaration and postal service receipt and send it to the trader to prove I sent it but other than that I don't know what to do. I don't want to get a bad reference/reputation.

I would just wait a little while longer.
I've had packages from the US as soon as within 3 days, and longest as in 3 weeks, so it could still arrive, it might be stuck at customs or something.

I've sended out 3 envelopes on February 18th, all 3 to California, it normally takes about 5 weekdays, but it's now also already been 2 weeks :(

The best thing is just to wait it out. I am actually waiting for one from Hong Kong that was sent out Feb 12. They said Chinese new year might on have an effect on the post office. Same with my mom... She sent out that week and they haven't received her pins.

ugg the mail is a total mystery lately...very unproffessional. Chinese new year def affected mail. we have a business and deal with a China co. and their mail literally shut down for a whole weeek. If you have a scanner i would scan and mail the declaration just as a sign of good faith and ask them to give it til friday....then take it from there.

I've had mail to and from Hong Kong, take 3 + weeks, I'm still waiting for 2 and it almost 4 weeks.
So I would give it a bit more time, most HK traders know it can take a long time to get to them , I had one take 5 weeks

do that and let theam know it takes time with the new changes to the USPS it could take up to 30 days or more. i buy from Japan, Hong Kong, and uk and at times it takes about 3-4 weeks for me to get my items

I have one myself that hasn't gotten to a person in the U.S. and one that has gotten me. I kinda just figure I have to compensate her, but in your case I would wait longer. That is not that long with the Chinese holiday.

Here is my question. I have a French trader whom I received a pin from - and sent one to. I got his, asked him if he had gotten mine the day I got his and he said no. I asked him to let me know when he got it and I have received absolutely no more communication from him after that. Any suggestions in that situation?

In my experience, if the other trader is NOT complaining that they have not received your trade pin/pins, they most likely got them. I think life is just too busy for everyone nowadays and sometimes people forget to let the other party know that their pins arrived safely. And it does take a while for pins going over seas ... France seems to be especially slow some days ... then every now and then someone would get a pin I sent in less than a week! But that is really NOT the norm! Hang in there!! *bjr

Do you know if it went by air mail? If it was not specified as air mail and went via surface mail, it will take up to 6 weeks to complete the trip. I know this from practical experience with a couple of trades to Europe in the past. This is another possibility if they didn't put air mail stickers on the package.

Don't give up. A pin went missing from France to the UK and it eventually turned up - should have taken 3 days, it took 4 weeks. I was sent a replacement which arrived really quickly and now that pin in turn has been lost from the UK to the US. Have just managed to get a replacement from a lovely lady in Paris, so am now hoping this one arrives!

US to Hong Kong is a huge distance. Fingers crossed for you!

This is the same amount of time a UK trader and I have been waiting for eachother's pins with no luck. She says it happens; I've never had Europe take this long and am worried :(

It happens. I used to get stuff in 2 weeks from the UK (mine would take one week to get there) and lately it's been 4 weeks (or more!). I just figure that's the "cost" of trading - gotta be prepared for it to get lost in the mail.

P.S. A huge box I sent to Canada 2 years ago still hasn't shown and that was sent REGISTERED mail.
