Uh oh.... This can't be a good sign. What is going on at DSF?

Just saw this on IG. Notice those two Frozen pins and Tangled pin that HAVEN'T BEEN RELEASED YET? Rumors are flying if an employee stole them or they are scrapped or what. I have no idea, I'm not in the know. I just wanted to post, share, see if anyone has insight, alert every, and show what the pins look like. This was posted to Facebook (apparently for sale/trade) then IG. Also, please let me know if I'm not allowed to post the pins here. I know they haven't been officially released yet, but since the photo is cropping up everywhere online and it's not a leaked promo photo but an actual photo of the pins we already saw promos for, I wasn't sure.

Yikes! And they look so pretty
Seems like it may be an employee IMHO, but maybe that's just me hoping that they aren't scrapped!
Either way DSSH needs to start doing some damage control on these things!

Blame it on all the shark at DSF now!!!!!!Someone at DSF saw all the money the sharks are making on the resales and decided to join the feeding frenzy!!!

I really hope they aren't being scrapped/counterfeited, and this is just an employee breaking the rules.

Either way it sucks, but at least the latter means less to worry about.

Whoever did it is probably a "shark". But DSF is a grey area when it comes to sharks, imo. Buyers pay so sellers ask. Vicious circle of the market.

Someone posted on FB that its been reported to DSSH and they're investigating, and the release could possibly be cancelled but nothing confirmed. Such a shame a few people are ruining this for everyone!

i feel bad for all the collectors of these pins. I can’t believe the prices on ebay already!!!

So glad that I stayed out of Frozen pins and limited myself to sets I’m already collecting. Since my old pins are wanted in trades, I am going to HAVE to learn to sell on ebay and use that money to buy my grails.

I never even thought of that! That's horrible! Have they done this before? And if so, does that mean the pins will NEVER be officially released, or do they release them at a later time?

Disney has done it with other merchandise where it got released at another time.

It depends. Say these pins are the PPs or APs and they don't have the actual pins in store yet. They would probably cancel the entire release. If they've made them they may hold into them and make each one like a surprise pin randomly and individually.

They might do nothing.

Or they might cancel trading pins at dsf altogether like they did in Japan.

From what I understand the DSF 5th anniversary Wall-e pin got out early and they cancelled that release. But this is second hand info to me, I'm just repeating what was stated on the facebook thread

Does anyone know if the seller/trader was from California or somewhere else (other state or country)?

If they are from CA I would assume it was an employee that swiped them (very likely considering the Frozen set just came out and the others are coming out soon, so they would probably already have them in the store). If they were from somewhere else I would be worried that they were fake/scrapped.

Either way it is unfortunate, but I would MUCH rather it be an untrustworthy employee than fake pins.

That would be awful, to cancel the pins. At the same time, canceling could discourage repeats by others.

If they're fakes (scrappers or fakes), what would that mean for the real ones? Will people have to start "proving" legit Disney sales? Aside from improbable, it could only be for future pins.

This is very sad for collectors.

They will be melted down and be made into another style. What a shame...They were so nice too.JAG...
