UK coming soon pins
I was told my delivery did take 5 working days because the first working day wasn't until the Monday. They don't 'process' orders made in the evening, so after 5pm - I guess that's why they 'release' the pins for sale at that time so that they don't have to process all those orders we make!

Fri4 - ordered after 5pm
Mon7 - Fri11 5 working days
Mon14 - pins arrived
Not acceptable really considering I used to order on a Friday or Saturday and receive my packages every Thursday, without fail and like clockwork. Very disappointed with the fall in service.

I live in Northern Ireland and it seems to take a week and a half to get items to me which is rediculous really when paying £5 for it, esp if its a small item like pins!

Ordered Friday - delivered following Friday - 5 working days as stated! The packaging is terrible for £5, if I sent pins like that then there'd be cause for complaint, the mailing charge is a ridiculous, the packaging is laughable - but then again it's Rip-Off UK!!

The thing that annoys me so much is when i order from ds.com i usually have my order within 3days(way quicker than the uk site has ever been since i have used it)and if something is not going to be in your order ds.com will let you know with the uk they let you order and pay for things and you don't ever know if you will definately be getting them until you open up the box and see whats inside right moaning over for the day the upcoming pins look like another great lot of pins

with the uk they let you order and pay for things and you don't ever know if you will definately be getting them until you open up the box and see whats inside

Sam - a box - THAT WOULD BE LUXURY!! I've only ever received pins in a jiffy bag far too big for the number of pins!!

Your spot on though, I only ever pass the charges on once I have the pins in my hands!

You did better than me on the delivery! I'll see how the more expensive delivery compares when I receive the order I made today. You'd think they'd want to over-deliver on expectations with a 2-5 working day delivery estimate, delivering quicker than 5 days keeps people happy - I was happy receiving packages on Thursday having made orders the previous Fri-Sat. But now customer service are being 'funny' about the number of working days and what their definition is I just feel so disappointed.

Anyways, yes! New Stitch St Patrick's Day! OMG! Cannot wait. ♥

Be interested to know when your pins arrive of you've paid for express - I just cannot force myself to pay the extra! Incidentally the US DS is currently having a free shipping promo - doubt if that will ever happen in the UK!

I'm a little relieved at what Earthbound said, saying that he was unable to go any further when he tried to order more than 2. At least that means that the limit was in place. I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed for myself and everyone else who wants this pin for their own collection.

I was going to pay the extra for the express, but I didn't see the point considering that the order was being placed on a Friday evening. Generally whenever I order, the order does indeed get dispatched within 2 or 3 days of ordering.

delivery to me varies so much ive had some in 4 days and others which have taken nearly 3 weeks, its such a joke at the price they charge.my last package took ages so i tracked it and it went all over the country before arriving with me.they really need to sort the postage prices and delivery times out.maybe they should use royal mail, you can post 4 or 5 pins for the cost of a large stamp and they usually arrive in a couple of days

I think it depends on the popularity of the pin.

My local store sold out of the Bambi pin within 3 days. Normally I can pick up LEs for at least a month after their release date!!

I don't know wether that sold out so quickly because non-traders bought them as cute valentine's presents.

But generally I have noticed that stores are selling out quicker.

Tend to agree, both the web-site & the stores in general are selling out quicker. Okay the UK pins are popular so they have a good trading value - BUT I know that some people are ordering extras for this reason

well my store was sent 5 and by hte time i got there at 10.45 the bambi pin had sold out, there was only 2 dumbos left by the time i left yesterday. The tron one sold out in about 2 days, and we had loads of pins before christams alot of old ones but obviously once the sale went on a few got reduced but it seem to have made people also buy the full price ones. and now we only have a few le pins from this year!

@Earthbound i said box in my previous post because i tend to order other stuff aswell as pins now the nearest store to me is nearly 2hours away when it is just pins it has been a jiffy bag for me too and i don't mind a jiffy bag its the fact the pins have no bubble wrap round them that i don't like esp when the pin has a dangle element or similar which can get caught on the other pins so easily

The UK pins are selling alot quicker recently but thats because the LE sizes have changed alot compared to last year, but i worked in store last year and the Valentines pin sold in a day then as it wasn't only traders/collectors buying them the other thing to keep in mind is most stores only get about 10 of each LE pin so it only takes 5ppl to buy 2each and they are gone if ther eis a UK pin i really want for my own collections i'm definately ordering online asap after release

Sam - the word box just made me laugh sorry!! You know the score with the DSUK packing - it's laughable & for an extra £5 a complete joke, seeing as my next Piece of Disney Film pin will be sent to me from the US, boxed, bubble wrapped & mailed for $5. Sorry the DSUK packing is a bloody joke - I check each pin once received for scratches etc etc - luckily I have not had to send one back yet!

Im just happy to see the lower edition sizes on pins now, and to see that Gaston went to LE100 (wont know if thats true till someone gets there pin) shows they are learning and listening to us about what we want..

lets just hope it sticks

thats the reason I ask people to get pins for me since I visit least twice a year and pick them up when I come over as it would cost me £8 postage for 1 pin to ireland and thats a JOKE!
