Hi guys,

I recently sold a pin to someone in the UK and I shipped it promptly and everything... I even have the DC#! But its been almost a month now and no update from the DC# that they received it and im pretty sure they are getting worried and might open a claim! What can I do further to look into this package? I know that shipping from the UK or to the UK is tricky depending on customs but is it normal for it to be a whole month?? Other UK pins i've shipped got their easily and pretty fast! Subsequently I am also still waiting for some UK pins to come to me :(

I dont know if it depends on which part of america you are sending from. Usually I allow 2-3 weeks for american postage but I have had it take considerably longer. I dont know what else you can do to look into it though :(

I usually find that the packages with higher values stated on the customs sticker, are the ones that get stuck in customs and can take between 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefully it will turn up very soon!

The last pin I got from the UK got here within 3-4 weeks but it's taken up to almost 7 weeks to get a pin from the UK before. I would tell them to hold off on the claim because it can take almost a month in a half to get the pins.

Hi,
I find that pins usually get from USA to UK around two week-three weeks if they have been recorded
they usually come within the two weeks.
The longest I ve waited is six weeks but that was at a busy time

Just recently I've noticed them taking a lot longer than usual: over a month for sure.
You should wait a little longer for sure, especially as someone else said, the value is higher than £30 and customs stop it!

I assume if you are concerned about a claim... it was Ebay? If so, at least you have all the info showing it shipped. It can take WEEKS for stuff to arrive.

UK shipping i have had stuff show up 7 days after shipping, and all the way up to 7 weeks!! Do not frett yet. And make sure your buyer knows that you are aware of the situation.

Yeah they seem understanding just told them to hold on tight it could be because of the declared higher value! Thanks for all the input guys.

I know that if you put any value over $25 they take over a month. From personal experience anyway, it will update once it's actually delivered.

I have found shipping times can vary greatly between continents. Generally items leaving the uk seem to be received more quickly than ones coming in.

The stuff I send home ( Canada ) can take up to a month to get there and I have had packages sent to the uk from home take over three months.

When I was in the us shipping between Canada and the us could still take between 1 week to 6 weeks. I think it does partly depend on the value and whether customs takes an interest in it or not.

Last item I ordered from the us took Three weeks w/o customs involved. The last one assessed by customs took two and a half months. It sucks but patience is the name of the game.
