USPS Lost ANOTHER Pin... What to Do?
I am sorry to hear that. I also had a problem with the mail being delivered to my apartment. Total cost of about 7 packages was around $200. All my packages were shown as delivered. Received the run around by the post office (I had to call them). Even filed a police report. I never did receive my packages. Finally, I started having my mail delivered to my dad's house, and I have not had any problems since. As long as it does not show delivered then there is hope. I had a package shown as delivered to the wrong address, and the package was eventually delivered to the correct address.

Tomorrow is the two week mark of when the USPS allegedly tried their first attempt of the delivery for my missing grail. I am crushed and feeling very depressed and helpless. The eBay seller has been an absolute joy and so helpful, but I really, really want my pin.

So, I'll pose the question. Saturday, the seller is going to open the insurance claim and help me try to get my money back. I paid... quite a bit for this missing pin. Does ANYONE have this pin that they would sell me?! I know it's an absolute long shot, but this community has come through and surprised so many of us so many times. I don't want to post the amount I paid here on the thread, but if you have this and are curious as to what you could get for it - please shoot me a PM and I will give you a number. I just need to wait until the insurance claim comes through.

Thanks for all the support, everyone. This has been such a frustrating and upsetting experience.

Hopefully when the insurance claim hits them they will get their sh-- together, and find your package.

I've heard that once insurance claims get filed, miracles happen, but given the genuine incompetence of both of these offices, I'm not holding my breath. I called again today, and the woman I talked to this afternoon was apparently the go-to woman for missing packages, and she hadn't even heard of an open case for my address.

Unbelievable, I bet it is in that silly mail truck. The way these postal workers throw stuff around, it's a wonder any of us get our packages. You should see the shape of my Dooney & Bourke Tinkerbell purse. SMH, hope it turns up.

J'aimie....I hope this pin turns up....I really do...I am so sorry and wish there was something I could do...I wish it would magically appear! Anyways, you will get your pin soon

Hello insurance claim. I guess this is my last update on the matter -- I just got off the phone with the post office who FINALLY delivered on a promise to call within 24 hours and the news isn't good. It's gone, and they're "officially" done looking, since they've been "working hard" to find it over the past two weeks, they have to assume it's gone.

The Post Office lost an insured piece of priority mail that was allegedly signed BACK IN by one of their OWN PEOPLE at a distribution center under 24 hour watch.

To say that I'm crushed is a total understatement. To have made a backwards step on this project has totally broken my heart and, without being dramatic, makes me wonder why I get so emotionally charged over this hobby anyway. The good news is I guess I'll have three more figures in my bank account. I am so stung right now, to have lost this pin now FIVE STUPID TIMES tells me SOMEONE up there just doesn't want me to have it.

Pity Party at J'aimie's house. Sorry for all the negativity and ranting. Having a hard time accepting defeat.

Having a hard time accepting defeat.

It is only a road-block not a defeat, but I totally understand your frustration and disappointment after 5 times. I have only one in my collection and if I had an extra,I would send it to you in a heartbeat (via Fedex or USPS of course).

Sending you virtual hugs.

J'aimie, I was so hoping to open this thread and see some good news for you. The negligence that occurs at the Post Office never ceases to amaze me

You have every right to rant and it's not wrong to feel emotional. Yes, it's just a hobby- but a hobby that we many of us invest in because it reminds us of Disney and some of the most precious memories in our lives. Instances like these just throw us off of being able to enjoy the hobby- and especially with the trouble you have endured trying to get this pin, it's completely understandable for you to be so upset.

I am sending you lots of hugs and pixie dust - I am so glad you are at least getting your money back and I am wishing you all the best in finding another one. So, so sorry again for all the crud you've been through!

Awww J'aimie I am feeling so so so sorry for you   I am feeling a littke upset too just lately haven't focussed on my Tangled collection for a while and now I am and it's depressing seeing for how much these pins sell and I can't afford none of them because I only get a disability fund. Sorry for my little rant it's nothing against what you've been through with this pin sending a big big teddybear hug

Pending light at the end of the tunnel... There is nothing -- and I mean NOTHING -- That Darris and Angie cannot do...

... so many emotions, my tummy is in knots...

You might want to look at either getting a PO box or having your mail delivered to your office, especially with all the problems you've been having with the mail to your home/apartment.
