Hi This was posted on Orlando Theme Park News: Walt Disney World: In-Park Pin Trading Locations Change Friday, December 18, 2015 | Posted by OTPN Administrator Effective Sunday, Dec. 20, Guests looking for pin trading locations at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be directed to indoor merchandise locations instead of outdoor stores. Most indoor merchandise locations have been equipped with pin trading books or boards. In addition to that, Guests visiting the parks can always locate a Cast Member wearing a lanyard with Disney pins to trade (such as managers). Can anyone in the know at WDW find out what this means? no more trading at Epcot pin Central? no more outdoor CMs wearing trading lanyards? what are they saying here? Thanks in advance Janet

I'm at WDW currently. I noticed there are more boards around different stores which is pretty cool. I still see same amount of cast members wearing lanyards, but there are no tables at EPCOT. However, last time I was here there weren't tables some days and some days there were tables. I asked a worker at the pin shop and she said they had no control and/or knowledge of the tables. Hope this helps some!

I would be interested if anyone trades at any of the WDW parks anymore as well. I'm traveling down in a couple of weeks; I've been under the assumption not much trading is going on, I'm probably not going to bring my pins unless I should???

In early Dec. when I went, the Epcot tables were there, and every CM everywhere wore a lanyard, but all the CM lanyards and store pin boards had the same tired old pins that DLR always has LOL.

I went to DLR in June, I know where the non-CM traders are. Sounds like WDW doesn't have the same...

Did you do any trades with other pin traders/non-cast members?

Yeah i I did lots of trades at Epcot tables with other guests I just lay my book down on table and people would come over to look at your pins or I would turn up at tables and traders where already there this was October/November

I did trade at Epcot with guests and everyone was very nice, but one pin turned out to be a fake. It was nighttime and I couldn't inspect the pin well so didn't notice until later. I will keep it though because it is really cute. Just bummed I traded a new on card LE for it. That trader had a large book of pins. Wonder if it was a mistake or intentional.

at EPCOT again today and still no tables

The marathon is this weekend. I'm not sure if the tables are removed for the holidays, but they are removed for the marathon. They will probably return shortly.

Does anyone know if the tables are back? I plan on going to Epcot tomorrow, and I don't want to lug around my pin bag if the tables aren't out.

Thanks!
