Recently here in the UK, the price of posting things went up. I didn't know how badly it would affect posting overseas until I went to mail a pin on Saturday. It used to be £2.07 to mail a "Small Air Packet" to America (a standard jiffy bag style envelope). That's around $3.34. It is now £3.30 to mail the exact same package. That's around $5.32. I can't believe that it went up by so much! And it would be even higher if it went over the weight limit for a Small Air Packet.

So yeah, fair warning UK Traders!
 
I was shocked how much it went up. I sent 3 pin parcels on Saturday and it came to £9.90! I was like sayyy whatttt :(
i think that's about $16-18 :/
 
Im glad the prices have not gone up that crazy for just 1 pin. I can send them normal post for like 1 euro since its light enough to be classed as a letter not a packet. Normally though average is 1.50 euro to send 1 pin. more pins will cost more but never that much more.
 
I have an idea. Perhaps form a group of UK folks which can pool together and place their trades in a larger cheaper box going to one person in the USA. That person then takes all those pre-addressed bags and runs them to the post. Your trades from here would be sent normal, as FOR NOW our rated do seem to be stable.

Just an idea..
 
The only pin trading I am doing now are the ones that I promised to pre-trade for within the past couple of months. Glad I sold most of my traders anyway.

£9.90 for 3 packages happened to me last week - 2 to USA and 1 to Hong Kong!!!

that would be a good idea but it wouldnt work when we are all spread out over the UK there are only so many in the manchester area that could pool together but then it has to go on how mnay people have trades to send out as it if turns out your the only one then you cant really wait to post out pins till someone else has trades lol

Its a good idea but it wouldnt be that effective due to how spread out everyone is.

That's only for one ounce. Each additional ounce (or fraction of an ounce) is $0.78 to $1 more.

But, still cheaper than the UK. Course, I'm posting a package today to the Netherlands so we'll see how much that costs! :shock:
