Does anyone know if the Dopey or Ludwig Von drake have been scraped from this series?? I received both of these just recently and neither one of them had a waffle pattern on the back like the newer ones do. I was wondering if there might be someone on here who is an original owner that would be able to tell me what the back of there's looks like. Just don't know if these were scraped or if it is because they are the oldest in the series they didn't have the pattern on the back. Thanks!

I saw a Ludwig for trade and it looked fake to me, so I did not trade for it. Not sure if that helps, but I was very suspicious of the pin.

After reading your post, I checked out some of the pins I have in my collection where the character is wearing a sorcerer hat. My Peter Pan pin came out in 2008 and does not have the waffle pattern on the back. I believe Dopey also came out in 2008, so wouldn't have the waffle pattern either. Some pins I have that came out in 2011 do have the waffle pattern. Somewhere in there, WDI started using the pattern on the back of the pins.

I wouldn't worry too much about your Dopey and Ludwig pins being fake. Enjoy them!

There was an initial release of these that included Dopey, Ludwig, Peter Pan, Minnie and Jiminy. They came out long before the set really took off, so it makes sense that they are a little different. At some point they also started making these bigger.

I'm surprised this set hasn't taken off yet. Sets, such as Beloved tales, PODMs, PTDs, tend to be very popular. I'm guessing if they ever do a tangled character it might bring some more attention to them.

I think it would have, if it wasn't that some of them were counterfeited so quickly.
