I'm thinking of doing a trade auction for the WDI Frozen sorcerers hat pin set. Would you rather see it as a set auction or as an action for each individual pin? Thank you for your feedback.

Some people do the auction and let people do both in the auction. i.e. two leader boards

and at the end you can decide between set vs. splitting :3 I think you'd get more pins/better bids splitting the set since alot of people are just going to want elsa, while other might only want olaf!

My long though process, lol. Could be bogus for all I know, but just my thoughts

Set: More likely to get bids with multiple grail offers per bid plus mini grails thrown in, but fewer bidders since the popularity and value of the set will knock many people out of the running of trying to bid. Probably less variety overall. You might run into people 'hitting the wall' or simply running out of pins to offer to outbid each other, simply due to not having more to offer or reaching their limit of what they are willing to offer, since it will be a much bigger pot than individuals. We have some truly amazing collections here though so probably not. Just something I've seen with the vinyl collection auctions for Funko Pop! grails. when sets are put up. (The other thing I collect right now)

Individual: I think you'll still get pretty hefty grail offers for Elsa, Anna, and Olaf individually. In fact, if no one else auctions the set as a whole, you might get nearly as good offers for just Elsa as the whole set if that's what the heavy hitters are gunning for. Mini grails and some grails for Christoph and Sven, then really solid offers for Marhsmallow and the trolls. You'll probably get the heavy hitters making multiple separate bid offers on multiple pins. I think you'll get more variety here since more people can realistically bid without being completely out of the running off the bat, like for the trolls.

Both: I personally find this style of bidding confusing because there is so much to keep track of, especially with a set of this many pins. However, you'll get some very interesting action on the thread and probably multiple 'hedged bets' offers of " 'this for that' or 'this for that' or 'all these for those' ".

Option D: Fall in love when they arrive ad keep them all! haha

I don't think you can go wrong. Whatever you do, you'll have amazing pins at the end of it! I for one will be tuned into the auction :wavey:

I think you're going to get better offers for the individual pins. Some want just Elsa or Elsa and Anna, but some are going to want just Olaf or Sven or Kristoff. So, you'll get better "bang for you buck" with individual offers.

I would suggest whichever you choose, you stick with one or the other in the auction, i.e. do not do an auction where people could bid on either the set or individual pins, as with a set this coveted, this could get very convoluted VERY fast.

Set is confirmed and paid for. I am going to give it a try and do an auction for each individual pin instead of the full set.
