When I first joined Instagram (pinnerdo if you're interested) I tried my hand at some drawings. After trying a few and losing every single one of them, I swore I would never enter one again. Yesterday there were a ton of them around and one in particular looked reasonable. It was 21 spots and the first place was a pin, second place was free entry to the next drawing. I figured it I bought two spots I had an (almost) 20% chance of getting something, so not bad. So I gave it a try, and...As an update, I've seen a few opportunity drawings, but those are the only ones in which you're shelling out less than $100 per pin. :// Looks like this will be a waiting game.

Years ago, M&Ms had a promotion to pick the new color. Purple won and was included in bags but only for a limited time. After that, they had *another* new color promotion, and blue won, but was made a permanent color. Purple is my favorite color, so I was...dismayed is too strong a word, but I have a small vendetta against blue m&ms for taking purple's rightful place. (Plus, blue replaced tan, my favorite M&Ms color at the time, so I was doubly mad at it!)

LOL OH! Initials! I actually Googled DMS to see what the thinking might have been! Direct Messaging Service (Likes Quiet Conversations)? Doc Martens (Sex Pistols Rule!)? Direct Music Service (DJ Purple Plays)? Dover Middle School (Go Tigers!)?A man who likes purple and has the initials DMS. Duh.
