WDI pins
As a CM all I have to say is I would NEVER sell any CM pins. My job is way more important than selling pins. So just to be safe I only trade WDI and CM pins. I find trading more fun anyhow. :]
im only talking about the pins that are at WDI right now for 3, 4, 5 dollars and i see them for over 50$. its very obvious who is overpricing them and has tons of them. Im not assuming i am just saying that maybe they should lower that price because its unfair for those that aren't cast.

Who died and made you the judge of what's "class" or not? That's a really offensive comment. Just because you don't like it if people sell pins--or anything--for a potentially large profit doesn't make them low class. The point of SELLING something to make a PROFIT. That's what every single person on the sale boards here, or on e-Bay, or wherever, is trying to do, make a PROFIT on selling their pins. And you're not the boss of setting prices, either. As I and a few others here have posted, if you don't want to pay or can't afford it, then don't. Others are okay with paying certain prices and/or can afford it. It's your business if you want to buy or not, and their business if they want to buy or not, at whatever the seller is setting as a price.everyone should be able to have pins at an affordable prince. if people want to resell its good but don;t overprice them when they are less than 6 dollars at hand. i guess i just have more class than to resell at a larger amount.

And by your definition of "fairness," there shouldn't be any pins available exclusively for CMs. Well, that's life, and sometimes it's not *fair*--some people get certain benefits, one of those benefits is that CMs have pins made for them and (generally) only they can purchase those pins.
As Echo mentioned, I guess when you hire in there's something in the hiring documents where the hired CM agrees to not buy Disney merchandise with their discount and sell it. That's a legally binding contract if you sign it. IMO, whatever it says at the store or on the receipt wouldn't be, since no one is made to sign anything. Saying it's "policy" is different from legally binding.

Okay, point taken...I didn't express it properly. People sell to get money, maybe that's a better way of saying it--the point I was trying to make was that people sell things to get cash (for a variety of reasons, of course), that's the point of selling, to get cash in hand. So...a lot of people sell pins (or whatever) to make profit, but not all (and I'm not sure "most" people sell here just to recoup money, either, look at what happens every month when the PODM pins come out!).Who died and made you judge of what intentions people have when they sell their pins? Not everyone sells to make a profit, most folks on this forum sell to recoup some of their money. I currently have a sells thread and im selling my BATB PODMs because my family ran into a bit of financial troubles. I'm not selling those pins to make a profit. A lot of members will normally sell their pins to recoup some of the money the spent of gas, parking or other expenses it took to get those pins. The same goes on eBay, not EVERYONE on eBay sells to make a profit.

basically... it comes down to this....
Some pins can only be gotten from certain places.
Some pins can be bought anywhere.
Some pins are limited edition.
Some pins are open edition.
some folks buy just to sell.
some folks sell so they can buy.
some folks sell to pad their wallet.
Some folks sell because they came on hard times.
Some pins sell for below retail.
Some pins sell for above retail.
Some pins sell for crazy amounts.
Some pins you would have to pay people to take from you.
And someone, somewhere, is always going to be unhappy with AT LEAST one of the statements above.
As always, a topic of this nature opens up a big gross can of slimey worms. We as a community just need to accept that and not get mad about other people opinions.
