WDW Pixar Pin Event
I am going for sure! Can't wait. My birthday is actually the 25th of August so we were going down there for that, and then I find out about this. Talk about icing on the cake!

Not me dates don't mesh however I will be there 3rd September to 28th so if anyone wants to meet up I'm in staying at the boardwalk. Still going to bring pins in case

Please please please keep me in mind! Just Boo!

When pins are publicized, we can arrange through paypal? Think about it?

My wife and I will be going and we will be looking for a sponsor for one of us. If anyone is interested please PM.

Just a question here.....what is the price to sponsor someone and what would entail this sponsorship, like what all would come with sponsoring someone? Thanks!!

Generally, when you sponsor someone you pay for their event admission and the admission price for any extra events, such as the breakfast. In return you get whatever gifts and freebies are given out, and have first chance at reserving any of the pins that are released, usually at or close to cost. So the person you sponsor gets to attend the event, eat any included meals and snacks, and partake in trading, while you get the event items and pins close to or at cost without having to travel to the event.

Cost is entirely dependent on ticket package price, any added events, and the pins selected during the RSP process.

Yes, for pins outside of the free gift pins you get just for attending. Closer to the event Disney will release a catalog of extra pins to purchase on top of the cost for attending the trading event.

So, for an example - say the event costs $100. Each attendee receives five pins as a gift for coming to the event. Then Disney also has for sale 20 additional pins for $10 each, and you order 5 of those pins. As a sponsor, you would pay $150, and receive the five included gift pins and the five extra purchased pins.

I hope I made sense.

You made a LOT of sense.

I would wait on the event catalog before deciding whether to sponsor anyone. You should also decide whether the cost of the pins, etc. is worth sponsoring that person, or whether you'd rather pay the increased cost. Obviously, the more pins you want from the catalog, it will be worth sponsoring someone, but if you only want one or two, see if you can do a partial sponsorship.

I agree on the help of the description and the idea to wait.

As this is a Pixar event and I collect Boo, I am considering sponsoring someone depending on the number of Boo pins.

Is there a way someone more knowledgeable than I could create a thread (sticky-ed until after the event) for people interested in sponsoring and being sponsors? Maybe do this for each event. All contacts (or all after the initial?) between people could be pm or even email to remove this website from any third party-ness.

Someone could create the thread, but only a mod with access to that specific section of the forum would have to sticky it. Since money will be exchanging hands, it is better to put it in the for sale/wanted area of the forum (not the trade), but these types of threads don't typically get stickied.

Hmmm. I'm not a huge Pixar fan, but I dig Brave. I wonder if it would be worth it to go if only to pick up some pins to hold on to to trade. I've never been to any of these types of events, might be fun to do.

Perfect sense!
Thanks!
I like quite a few movies out of Pixars release and I'd assume there might be some Finding Dory....so I'll wait for the catalog, anyone know when a catalog tends to leak??
