What do you guys do with your pins? I noticed that a lot of people seem to only either store their pins safely at home or display them on a board at home, is it uncommon for people to keep their pins in a book or on lanyards?

I used to just store them in pin bags. I recently made my first board and have gotten hooked on them. I like being able to look up while sitting at my desk and see them.

Lots of people do lanyards, I don't if only because I don't want to loose them and also being so far away from the parks, there's no point.

We have about half our collection on pin boards and framed. The rest are in pin books. Just not enough wall space. Depending on the time of year or what is going on when we get down to DLR, I will sometimes wear a themed lanyard of not overly expensive pins.

We have pin bags and lanyards that we made. I have a light up Winnie the Pooh lanyard and a pink and purple Cheshire Cat lanyard. Chey has a Rapunzel lanyard and we just use locking backs to keep the pins from falling off. We have a pin bag for our traders and another for our keepers and hidden mickey/cast member traders. I like having my pins to show off at events without having to tell people they aren't for trade.

Most pins are on canvases up in the wall in our bedroom. There are a few left in a pin book that we need to find room for. More canvases! And we pick and choose from what we have hung up to pop on a lanyard and wear into DL. Though there are some hard to find pins we keep displayed and don't leave the protection of our room!

My Alice in Wonderland collection is on the wall in the "Alice room" at my house. The other pins are in frames of various sizes and shapes and what I don't have wall space for are safely stored in pin bags. I've been trying to thin down my collection, but it's growing instead. Oh well, I need more walls.

I would love to display my pins on a canvas but I have a niece and a nephew that are mischivious to no end. I would hate to see the canvas fall off and land on them. Since they love to look at my pins. For some reason looking at my pins seems to soothe them.

I wear mine - 1 a day!

YAY! ME TOO! I'm fairly new to trading so I don't have that many pins yet to fill up a book or a cork board. So for now I have all the pins that can fit on the lanyard on have on the lanyard and all the others that don't fit on the lanyard placed neatly on my desk. I will eventually put them all in a book and I, like Jules, try to wear on everyday (which is why I don't like to collect Jumbo pins since they are too difficult to wear). Some pins of course are just too nice and too rare to be worn, but some pins that I know I'm going to be stingy on trading because they are borderline keepers, I'll wear occasionally. It isn't like the pins scratch easily (and if they do, then I must really take care of them when I wear them because not one of my pins that I've worn show wear and tear damage :D)...

I'm just warming up to the idea of a lanyard. I've curently got a couple being made by my lovely girlfriend. But those will only serve me on my trips to Disneyland every few years. In the mean time there would be no point to me having this collection and not ever looking at it. Therefore I went ahead and made some framed boards to display them by, and they are hung near my curio cabinet with all the rest of my travel mementos. They're not sealed in, so when I do go back to DL I can pluck them from the boards and wear them about.

So yeah, it's not an either-or ^_^

when we go to WDW once a year I have a lanyard of traders with me just in case.
Outside of that I have a few different displays on the wall: 3 cork boards, a shadow box for my PODM, a shadow box for my tangled pins, a small shadow box for my year pins, and i framed my cars 2 mystery set.
I've been thinking about getting a pin bag, but I like showing mine off in their own display room :)

I have my first lanyard with the first pins I bought/traded from my first Disney trip in tact and hanging from my dresser mirror in my room. I now have some pins in frames, and some easel pins displayed like knick-knacks, but most of the rest are in fabric books or their boxes. I wear a lanyard to the parks and meets and also take trading books. It would be nice to be able to display them all somehow, but I don't see that happening. Anybody rotate their displays? How do any of you display your PODMs so that you can see the scenes, or do you?

I store mine on cavas that is theamed to the pin.
If I have doubles or pins that are pretty easy to get hold of I wear them :)
