What time should I go down to DSF for the Marvel pin release

Since I was unable to find someone to pick up the pins for me, I'm going to try to go down to DSF myself to pick up the Marvel pins. I've never been to a pin release at DSF. Can someone give me advice for when I should be there to be in line?

I'm going at 5:30am because there is a sold out 4am show that gets out at 6am. I want to be in line before that movie gets out. You should stand in line in the alley just east of the front door. Bring a chair if you want, maybe the benches will be open. You can leave and grab McDonalds or Starbucks once you're in line and make acquaintances with the people before and after you. But quickly. There is usually a restroom available. Park in the Hollywood & Highland center across the street, entrance is on Highland, west side of street by the hotel. Bring pins to trade, there may be some trading going on, usually is a little.

That is a good question.

1) First ever Marvel/Disney pins.
2) LE 300
3) Limit 2
3) Very few eBay listings as presales but over priced?
4) Want/Trade ratio pretty low
5)Surprise pin?

I am not planning to go but am tempted just because their may be a Surprise pin. If there is it may be an LE 150 and that is all I mainly collect from DSF (and Surprise pins of any LE). So the question is......Do I get there early so I can get to work by 11:00 am?

What if they do release an LE 150 Surprise pin of Donald Duck as the Hulk? Goofy as Iron Man? Pluto as Thor???? Mickey as Captain America?

I will get the Surprise pin if there is one but also like you, what time???

I do not think this make any concerns as this is not a sleepover pin release but there are the crazy ones now a days.

Everyone who will be planning to lineup early for the Avengers pin release on Friday @9:30am, the line will be in the same area as usual (esplanade, where the benches are on the side of the building). Because we have a sold out midnight screening of Avengers, movie guests will be lined up in the area until about 11:00pm/11:30pm Thursday night. We ask that pin traders wait until the general admission line has been moved into the theatre before lining up in the esplanade. If you have any questions, please call 323.817.1475.
 
I've been wodering the same. I know at least a few people for sure will be there after the midnight showing gets out...I keep debating if it's necessary to go super early I just dont imagine these will rival the popularity of Up, Tangled etc. Everything but the most popular has been availble after 10 am... hmmm
 
I am planning on riding the Red Line into Hollyweird in the morning to see if I can get a couple sets. Beyond that, I can not see myself doing any type of overnighter for something Disney, unless it's One More Day again...lol
 
It'll be interesting to try and match the faces to DPF names... I'm now thinking I should just go see the 4 am screening of Avengers then just hop right into line afrerwards lol
 
Well..actually it shouldn't be too bad tomorrow since it is a Friday release, those tend to be a little less crazier since a majority of the people have work.

I called and they ARE going to be handing out vouchers for the release tomorrow at 9am. They are NOT allowing anyone to line up before midnight due to preview. This was as per Theresa at DSF at 9:45 this evening.
 
It's after 3 am- there's about 20 people in line for pins (a guess at any rate as I just did a drive by) I'll be returning in a few hours- hope I doesn't come back to haunt me...
 
Seeing Stan Lee was a nice surprise! Cool guy, and he had a smile on his face. Man, I have to wait till tomorrow to see The Avengers! Store just opened, time to buy pins!
