What time should I go down to DSF for the Marvel pin release
I can't see YoSoy's photo's, photobucket is blocked here at work, but here are pics of the shadow box they displayed WITH the hinged books!! The books are HUGE!

The Comics are definitely nicer than I expected them to be! Very cool!

I am loving the hinged books!! They are so pretty!!!

Storybooks will be even harder to get. I honestly think all 300 will be spoken for before midnight and will require overnight sleep. Similar to the UP release, but this time DSF is allowing people to line up as early as they want and it's first come first serve. For sure you could get the Avengers pins for the Storybook pins. But you will have to find someone that will get you a set of Storybook pins first!
 
They also released a LE1500 El Capitan Avenger's comic book, like a real comic book. It was for sale for $3.99, I got 2 for some unknown reason...

Stupid job! Didn't make it in time:(. I don't want to buy them but if anyone wants to trade for something "nice" off my trades list, let me know!

Also everytime someone posts about "how early or crazy a release is going to be, you just cause paranoia making the release even earlier, crazier and overhyped. It also encourages people who line up only to sell on eBay take notice and start planning on bringing their 5 relatives to buy everything up. It would be in all traders best interest to NOT do this so that real collectors of that series can actually get one. Sorry about the mini rant but mob-mentality and people who like to get everyone worked up are pet peeves of mine. Pin trading poker face people!

There were far fewer of the usuals and far fewer of the usuals that bring like 5 kids. It was more random people that I don't usually see at DSF releases. A bunch of the DSF staff got in line at like 6am with us. The movie that got out at like 6:20am only added a handful. By 7am the line was maybe at 75-80. People that came at 9am still got a set. Sounds like sour grapes to me. I like to keep people informed so they can make an informed decision of their own. I'd rather not keep things "close to the vest" to just benefit the few and veteran. You can avoid talking about the storybooks all you want but it isn't going to change the fact that dedicated people that want them are going to be there the day before. They said the first people in line today got there at 7am YESTERDAY!?!

Weekday releases are just too tough on the everyday worker like myself but we have to deal with it and find a way to get around this madness! BTW I think you just gave everyone an idea to grab all their relatives to take to the Story Books release as I now know that I will be taking a few cousins. :)
 
It's not sour grapes at all. It's just obviously by saying that you are making people feel like its necessary to to try to get their earlier then the next person. Commence snowball effect. No one is going to line up two days in advance unless they felt it was necessary to do so. It clearly wasn't necessary today as people at 9:15 got pins and I know a few of the people that got their at 5:30-5:45 that were super frustrated after they found out that they didn't need to go to that extreme. They said they only did that after they read posts that made them scared they werent going to get a set for their collection at a reasonable price.

Anyway, I'm not one to argue on forums so that's all:)
 
Sadly not talking about them won't stop the hype machine. I wish it would.

I think it's hilarious that people got in line that early only to watch people wander in at 9:15 am and still get sets (full disclosure I got there at 7:30 or so). My hubris will probably catch up to me at some pin release, but I thoroughly enjoy getting pins with as little time wasted as possible. (though I did succumb to fear as I was originally going to get there a little before 9)

Well, even with All those listings on the bay no one has actually bought them yet so the price will probably come down, the pins aren't even that wanted at all yet and I created the pinpics accounts weeks ago.... so with all that said this is still and LE300 set and Most likely will not be that sought after when the heat has simmered.
