Ok, Question:

What new pins would you buy without a second thought if you saw them? Would it be because it's a particular character, theme, attraction, location or what? What are you specifically looking for?

For me, it would be:

1)a nice pin of a character that is hard to find or rarely used.
2) a pin that I liked that fit one of my collection themes.
3) a pin that I thought was really unique or had a special quality to it.

I'm specifically looking for: Pins based on movies like Peter Pan (not tink only pins), Aladdin, Hercules, Great mouse detective, Sword in the stone, Black Cauldron also great pins of particular character, Tigger, Pan, Ludwig v.Drake, rescuers, Pinocchio & jiminy and characters from above movies. I also love a good pin from favorite attractions like Space mtn. HM, big thunder, fantasyland attractions, etc. and I like some sports themed pins but I'm really picky about those!

I wouldn't think twice if it was a stand alone character that I didn't already have a stand alone pin of.
 
The question for me is almost never "would I buy it", it's almost always "How much until I say 'no way'?"

Anything off my Wants list I would buy without a second thought, but that doesn't include it having a million dollar price tag on it- LOL!

Generally, I know the characters and themes that I like- that doesn't really change. Jessica, I buy anything (for now). The others, like Tink, I have to like the art. Duffy, I buy without a second thought.

Occasionally, I get surprised by something I like (I don't like Fab 5, but I own some due to their excellent design).

Generally, I don't buy a pin just to buy a pin, regardless of its features. Duffy and Jessica are the only 2 characters I buy, no second thought. :)

Nope, that's why I would buy one I don't have without a second thought! :lol: I have quite a few, but there are still tons I'm missing. My next "silhouette" pin board will be mostly made up of stand alone characters. :)
 
i would pay about anthing at anytime.... for the Big D GR and or guide pin that the plaids wear....
 
I try to only buy high le/non-le with my money if the price is low enough. I'd only look to spend a lot if it's a holy grail or a really great price.
 
I would not hesitate to buy the pins off my wants list that no one is trading or only 1 person is trading. Mainly (would someone please tell me why cut and paste doesn't work anymore PLEASE) the first few pins but especially the framed ones.

BUT....I would not throw my money away on unreasonable demands.
 
I love reading what everyone has written. And yeah, stand alone pins of rare characters are very cool. I wonder if anyone has a collection of every character that's been done as a stand alone. I'd like to see that collection!!
 
Anything from my smaller collections Fox and the hound & Oliver and Company. There really are so few pins from both of those movies but I love them and have quite a little horde of them on my board which is mostly dominated by Lady and the Tramp and Aristocats. Tho I do always worry about price obviously, if I can't afford it I can't get it but if I had the money I would totally 'complete' my oliver and co and fox and the hound sets cause theres so few pins left that i want from both of those collections! Just to clarify, I am not a completest, I picked out my fave pins from both of those movies and I would like to have all the pins I want from those movies. I am currently feeling gutted that the dodger & oliver pin from d23 has gone missing, one of the pins I really need / want and it's probably never gunna be available!
 
I buy any new Rapunzel/Tangled or Nurse pins also Alice in Wonderland, Jess as other characters/costume, and DVC.

Now, if I see something from my wants especially if it is a htf Holy Grail for sale at a decent price, I will buy it.
 
Hmm:

-- Jessica dressed as the princesses. :3 (that way I have an excuse to have Jessica fit into my collection! LOL)
-- Mittens from Bolt! She's too cute, and reminds me of the cat I had when I was a child.
-- FLYNN RIDER. Omg, I need more of him.
-- LOTTIE from The Princess and the Frog. Her = Me.

Yeah.....
