I miss the days of Disney Auctions, the weekly releases of Disney Shopping, and the steady flow of amazing designs out of Japan. Hong Kong has released some great pins, Paris is still a source of an innovative design. But it has slowed a little.

I was prompted by the kind of lackluster pins previewed for the Sept Circus event. So many pins boxed, very few singles, and again all the same characters. Who really wants a Pete dressed as a circus performer?

So with the current state of releases worldwide, and not as many "exciting" pins previewed, what would you like to see released?

I personally would have loved to see a box set released for the Pooh DVD earlier this year that featured all the things they tried to use as Eeyore's tail.

I all honesty I'd love to see a few more pins for some of the Disney Sequels for certain things. I know the Musical Moments used some of the songs like HBoND2's "I'm Going to Love You", TLM2's "Down to the Sea", and featured the characters from the sequels, but TLK's UPENDI Pin had Simba and Nala rather then Kiara and Kovu.

What I'd really like is if they had a few more cameos of other characters and less of the same reused poses for pins. When my boyfriend and I went out to Frank's the other day, he said he was really turned off to pins because there were so many that were all the same looking and just not exciting.

Instead of having like 3 or 4 fathers days pins with Simba on top of mufasa, do Kiara and Simba. Or a different pose of them, like when Simba put his paw into his fathers were they went for that long walk.

Of course I'm just really sad at the American pins I see out lately. I saw the beautiful Mulan one from the UK Disney store and the HBoND ones and I want them so bad because they are unique! (And the Hunchback one comes out on my birthday! Sadsadsad!)

Love the ideas! It would be really cool to have new designs, new artwork, new backgrounds ... and not just of the "cash cow" pins but of other Disney story pins! Where are the pin designers from the Disney Auction days? Personally I would love to see more pins with Halloween themes as well as other holidays ... but with new artwork, new images and even other characters! I really enjoy the Tinker Bell, Mickey, Jessica and Minnie dressed up as other characters as well as Halloween icons such as Witches, Vampires, etc. I've slowed way down on adding any more Stitch pins to my collection because the same poses are used over and over again!! ugh! How about some new pins with Cheshire as a Halloween character or Alice as different historical characters? What about expanding the use of Disney cats??? Maybe have a pin with the Disney kitties and Stitch? Or the Disney dogs riding in one of the cars from "Cars"?? There are sooooo many other possibilities!! Oooh and what about the "create-a-pin" contest for cast members??? There were some really nice pins designed by the cast members ... please bring that back!! Take care, *bjr

Like Romancing_Train, more pins from Disney sequels.

Funny enough, I was going to suggest Lion King II as well, particularly as I really loved Kovu and was disappointed with the lack of pins. Although I've noticed most Disney sequels seem to be lacking in merchandise in general, which is a shame as some of them are pretty good and could do with some more.

And of course, different characters. Zira, Ronno, Uncle Max, the Vultures from Jungle Book, Melody, just to name a few have little to no pins at all.

I have said it before... Will say it over and over (over and over...) more of the disney horses. Not the random cameo "prince on a horse" ones, only characture horses from the movies.
  • Achilles. *HBoND
  • Khan. *Mulan
  • Maximus. *Tangled
  • Gunpowder. *Legend of Sleepy Hollow
  • Fantasia centaurs (ettes too)
  • Pegasus. * Hercules. *Fantasia
  • Phillip. *BatB

A lot of us want the characters that aren't used a lot because there are so many good characters outside of the usual. I don't know what kind of sales they would have of some of these, though.

So Adam, is this discussion just to chat -or are you gathering new ideas for more bootlegs; after your fine financial success of the UP Mailbox??

Inquiring minds wanna know...

I love all of these ideas, especially Alice as historical characters, I'm already making room for them on my Alice board. My one pin friend and I have been wanting pins for the 80's cartoon characters for years, I know that there are a few but I'd love to see more. Back when PTNs were more regular and we actually attended them we even brought it up to the guy in charge and he was like they won't sell, well...if DS.com wasn't discontinuing pins, you can't tell me that 250 Gummi Bears or Rescue Rangers or Tailspin mystery tins wouldn't sell out. I would have been happy if they combined them all into one just for the opportunity to own even just a couple.

Hi friends i like to see Romancing Train, more pins from Disney sequels.I love it and watch it daily.
I am just love in it.

I love connecting dots....

A person asks here, What pins would you like to see (so I can make them)

On Pin Talk, we have the Lenny asking - How much would you pay? (so I can sell them to you)

Guess, we now know the first A of LANSAM is.

And yes, the parenthesis is my opinion.

I'd like to see quite a few Disney pins that haven't been made
- Some of the more underused villains, especially Frollo, John Foulfellow and Yzma. Mother Gothel could also really do with some more pins. And I can't seem to find any of Jafar as the genie, so that would be very high on my wants list
- More Prince/hero pins. There definitely needs to be more Flynn pins
- Jessica as other movie characters
- I've always wanted some pins of the Greek Gods and Goddesses from Hercules other than Hades and Zeus. Hera is one that is especially needed, but I'd really like one of Aphrodite with Phil.

So I'm totally biased towards Alice in Wonderland pins, but I'd love to see some of the Tulgey wood characters and more of the flowers, particularly by themselves. And because I feel like it can't be said enough times, the princesses as their respective villains. Perhaps if we shout it out enough times the universe will listen and make it so. OMG! I just had a thought...as I'm writing this I can just see the bottom few pin images of Megfans HGs...I would love to see characters dressed like dragons, as her Pluto HG is, but like they're in Halloween costumes. Ooh, ooh, or dragons dressed as other dragons, so like Maleficent as Mad Madam Mim's dragon version, and Narissa as the Reluctant Dragon.

Since I collect pirates I'd go for a cool pirate design, but considering they have created a pin representing practically every inch of the ride at this point I'm not sure what more they could do. Maybe they could make one with the skeleton pirates from the first movie sitting in the boat from the ride as it goes over the falls with all of the pirates screaming in sheer terror.
