Hi Everyone,

Being relatively new to this yet, my wife and I are wondering where to go online to likely find the pins we are looking for. I understand that there is the market forum here as well as Ebay (eek), but are there other sites to pick up older buttons?

Thanks!
Gary

I love the Sale Forum here @DPF! It's very safe to use, especially since usually well-known and reputable members tend to sell.

I'm going to be honest...I DO buy pin lots on eBay. However, I sift thru all the trash and look for lots of older pins that are more clearly someone getting rid of a collection. It's pretty easy to tell which are which. If I have any question, I will look at the seller's previous feedback to see if he/she has been selling a lot of pins. I also go on pinpics and maybe check a few to see if they are known scrappers. With the older pins, it is much less likely. These pins tend to sell for more than the lots of "park traders" but I have gotten some really cool pins this way. I hate having to wade thru the garbage to find the treasures, but on the other hand the people looking for cheap pins don't generally bid on the lots that I do as these lots tend to go for more money.
