I am driving to southern California tomorrow and I am planning on going to DSF for the first time ever on Monday to get the Toys-for-Tots pin and if they still have it the Skippy PTD pin, will I be able to get some if I show up around opening or should I plan on going way earlier and waiting?

Oh you are so lucky. If you could pick one up for me I'll gladly pay you for the pin and shipping. I really NEEEEDDDD that pin

wow how cool is that! ill be there on the 29th but im sure they will be gone, but i'd be happy to donate to that cause.

I don't think many people would line up for that because it, as nice as it is, isn't one of the monthly DSF releases. I compare it more to a sundae LE pin and a lot of people don't line up for a new one of those (as far as I know) when they first come out.

WELL if you miss it, it is supposed to be like a sundae pin, they bring out the next of the 3 when ches runs out. We will also be gonig probably in december though

Last they were gone in 10 minutes. That's why they have 3 designs this year.

If someone would be willing to get me one I'd gladly send them $10 to but a toy. Remember to bring your receipts, DSF can be sticklers about proving that the gift is at least worth $10.

I got mine after work last year so they lasted at least until the afternoon.

These are smaller pins, about the size of a larger sundae pin.

Just curious, do they have any objection to you just buying a toy right there in the store and giving it for the pin? I mean, it practically _is_ a toy store. But I could see it causing a problem with their own inventory being in the donate pile ('Did someone pay for that, or did it fall in by accident?', etc...)

I believe you can buy something in their store and donate it. If you think about it you're technically buying the pin from them, when you buy a toy from somewhere else they're kind of giving you the pin for free in a way.

Cheshire Cat only made it to about 1:30pm Monday afternoon - 2nd pin is Genie...

additional post from the DSF Facebook page...

Thanks to all who came out to support the Toys for Tots toy drive! Remember the toy drive will continue through Dec. 13th. Toys must be a $10 value or up, new and unwrapped.
Guests may purchase a toy at the store to donate, or bring in a toy. We cannot accept Life-size weapon toys (no swords, guns, etc.), POP! Vinyl or Vinylmation, DVD’s, CD’s or Videos, Video games/software, Clothing, Gift cards/cash, or Used items.
