"Tis the Seasoning for Giving! Join the efforts of the Marine Corp Reserves and bring in a new, unwrapped toy (valued at $10 or more) starting Mon. Nov. 19st. through Dec. 13th. As a special thank you for your donation, receive a free LE 200 pin (limit 3 per person, per day). While supplies last. This year we have 3 pins for the toy drive.....the first to release is a very Festive Cheshire!"
I don't think many people would line up for that because it, as nice as it is, isn't one of the monthly DSF releases. I compare it more to a sundae LE pin and a lot of people don't line up for a new one of those (as far as I know) when they first come out.
Last year's I picked up right before closing on the first night and they still had more left. They were not gone in 10 minutes.
Just curious, do they have any objection to you just buying a toy right there in the store and giving it for the pin? I mean, it practically _is_ a toy store. But I could see it causing a problem with their own inventory being in the donate pile ('Did someone pay for that, or did it fall in by accident?', etc...)
