so they ARE going with this method again for this release. as long as they actually keep the line organized, it'll hopefully work pretty well.

it'll be interesting to see precisely how many people come, tho. that's the nice little benefit for people like me who are just watching ;) we get an accurate count of the number of people in line

I like this plan, no camping required. Just show up, get your wristband and wait to draw a number. woohoo!

If you get a number in the top 200, excellent, if not... may as well go home. lol 2pp. I wonder if they will drop it to 1pp if the mob is to large?

I think last release and this release are practice runs for whatever The. Big. Release. of next month is.

300+ showed up for Monsters U release. There will be more than that this time for sure!!!Close to 50% chance of not getting anything!!

50% chance means that only 400 people show up. I'm expecting closer to 500 in all honesty but good luck everyone! ^_^ I'm also curious to see if on the July poster if they have permanently upgraded to LE400 or if these are just LE400 for the 4th of July.

May the odds be EVER in your favor!! (sorry I couldn't resist.)

Lmao I like this. It all luck more people you take more chances. Sometimes people give others their numbers if they got multiple good ones so they can buy a set. All I really want is the pascal and a set to trade that's it.

See now... I dont understand this. I heard there were that many, and even saw a picture of the packed alley. But I also heard there were still a few pins left at like... 1pm? Those 2 statements dont add up.

Some people that I normally see alone showed up with kids/friends/family members...kid you not, like 10 of them and they all got numbers and probably only bought off marquees and then left or just didnt buy a thing, so that means that pins were left after because all they wanted was a chance to get a number below 150

299 wristbands hands out. Straight from Ed's mouth, So 299 vouchers handed out. I personally counted 10 people show up after they cut off wristband distribution that makes 309 so as I stated, 300+ showed up. Pins were still left at 1 because they probably had not finished going through the line by then. The line moved VERY slow for this release! Marquees were gone by #270 I think.

Someone who was there for the monster u release told me most of the people that showed up only bought the marquee and maybe a surprise pin. Almost no one in the front of the line bought the whole monster u set. That's why a lot of the pins made it to 1.

I had #211, Could have bought everything but didn't. Only bought Marquees and Surprise pins. This is very true. That will not happen this week though!

Yes, that's what happened - many did not purchase the max they were allowed (if any at all) - some were there just to improve the odds for the person who wanted the pin(s). When I left, I noticed that Darcy (the cast member who is usually at the entrance) had a list of voucher numbers that were "missing" when they were let into the store (i.e. numbers didn't show up in line order) - the list was like 20 - 30 numbers - and they still had people in line back to the alley.

I'm liking the new rules. And from the previous run, all they need to do is cleanup the lines and distribution of wristbands and vouchers to make this thing really smooth.

Granted, there are flaws and not everyone will be happy. But I think this was the only way they could have gone; being as popular as they are now and refusing to risk increasing the LE size for some perception that their sales will instantly flop.

All that remains is to see them hold fast to the rules and not flip flop on the 2 per person rule. The 2 per person rule gives pin traders a chance to cover for their unlucky draw friends and to get traders or pickups for long distance friends.

With a red Pascal, in the mix, this one will prove to be quite a bit more attended than the Monsters U release. I hope they are ready. I hope they hold fast to 2 per person. I hope they have a plan for the lines.

I'm also hopeful that more people understand how these rules work. There seemed to be a whole lot confusion and desparation to be near the front of the line, when it was completely unnecessary.

NFCC weekend is July 13-14th, right? Hmm, I have plans to go to the beach that weekend, I wonder if I can drag some people to DSF first? LOL
