Thanks :) i did have to fully debox to get it that way but i don't mind!. Ariel's fins are secured to ursula and the bottom of her tail is tied to the floor haha.

It was slightly difficult to get them into these poses mostly because Ariel's rock is not secured to the box and theres no way to secure her to it so i used Ursula to support her! Im very happy with it!!!

my deboxed ariel :

She actually stands on her rock all alone. Because the rock is heavy so it doesn’t fall . She is not too hard to put on her rock ,the rock has so curve and fit her on that special curve. tiny curve very subtle but once you know where it is , it’s all good

Wow, this really lets you see how beautiful her hair is. You can't really tell how nice it is in the box. Wonderful photos as always, Pupuce! :)

Sorry if someone has pointed this out already, but the Peter and Hook set is finally sold out on the US website.

I was glad to see that even though I was thinking I get the set if it were still available towards mid-end of November. I actually think that's pretty good since Tiana, Pocahontas, and Mulan were still available after Thanksgiving (if I remember correctly). I know the time frame of releases is different, but still, I think they were around a lot longer and discounted in the end. I bought Tiana during Black Friday and got 20% off, and even at that discount she was still available for Cyber Monday at 25% off. I think the male dolls have actually done pretty well this year, especially with all the competition. I hope it encourages Disney to continue to take some more risks and think outside the box (still hoping for an Alice/Queen set next year).

Yeah I am really glad it sold out. I was hoping it would stay on a little bit longer so I could get the set at retail, but aw well. I would rather it sell out now than be on the website for another month or two and eventually go on sale. Plus I can't see them going for much above retail. Hopefully this proves to Disney that people do want non-princess dolls and characters and they will sell even if it isn't immediately.

She's really lovely and looks so nice re-positioned.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but any tips on deboxing? I got my Rapunzel today and her dress is all twisted up and she has a little piece of that tinsel stuck in the crack between where her neck and head meet (really noticeable towards the front/side). There's also tiny black hairs randomly sprinkled about on her (it just looks slightly disturbing). I've never deboxed any of mine and never had any intention of doing so, but I think that's all too much for me to take. Still, I don't want to destroy the packaging to fix these things.

Do you plan on totally deboxing them? twist ties and plastic backing and all? or do you just wanna fiddle with those little things? If its just fiddling the case comes off nicely and you don't have to do anything to the packaging. I always find the clip holding the case down in the front to be the really tough one. Be gentle though lol i snapped it on my Belle and Beast set :/

Yes, it seems they won't jump so high on the after market like the others. That's what I'm hoping, and I'm hoping there aren't so many releases next year, so there's some extra cash to get the set at a fair price.

I have to say, as much as I love the dolls, it's a little unsettling that there have been so many this year. I think that's a mistake Barbie made years ago. Collectors couldn't wait to get the LE dolls when they were first popping up, but ended up getting discouraged because they couldn't keep up and eventually lost interest as they also didn't seem so special with so many being released. I don't think that will happen with the Disney dolls to that extent since there's a lot of emotional interest in the characters, but I've been feeling a bit discouraged lately as I look back on this year. It seems like there's almost been a bit of a feeding frenzy and I'm feeling a bit overly stuffed. I'm determined to be more selective in the future and not get so caught up. I made the mistake of adding up all my purchases in my Disney history from the past year and felt a bit embarrassed, and I'm having a hard time finding room to display the dolls now.

Thanks!!

Thanks! I don't think I need to completely debox them. I just want to fix up the dress and get the little extra hairs off of Rapunzel. I actually thought this set was the best out of the whole series as far as they were already positioned. They actually look natural and normal. I think all the other sets kind of looks a bit strange in the box and could use re-positioned. In most sets the the eyes look a bit weird causing the dolls not to interact normally, but with Gothel's head slightly tilted and Rapunzel in front, they look posed, not just crammed together.

I agree with that. They look very natural and are definitely the best posed of the group. So yah the case slips right off you don't have to do anything to the packaging at all. Id also just be cautious with the LE # card in the back, it can get caught on the case as you put it back on and possibly tear.

How do you think Ariel and Ursula will sell on the secondary market? I'm trying to figure out if I should (attempt to) buy them now or risk waiting. I'm not sure I can spend much more money... and the frozen sets are still coming out.. Elsa and Hans, FF Anna, FF Elsa, and Kristanna.. so I need to figure out which ones I can risk waiting on and which ones I just need to try to get now.
Ariels shiney skin is going to keep people from buying her on the secondary market. She will probably sell fast tomorrow but I cannot see her going for as much as the other designer dolls. I think you should be fine waiting to get her. I know a lot of doll collectors hate the shiney skin. Its keeping me from buying her. If her skin was shiney, I'd buy her in a heartbeat. Notice the later Frozen dolls with the shiney skin also sell less than the other 2 releases.

Third name called at the Florida Mall store!!! so happy!!

Just curious...was there a big turn out at the Florida Mall? Meaning, did everyone get a doll that showed? I have experienced both huge turn out's and fairly mild ones before. In general, if I really want the doll...I figure many others do too so I've just stayed away for this release.

I feel like it's the shiny skin and the shirt that's throwing a lot of people off. I personally cannot get over how hideous the shirt looks and thus passing on this set even though I love Ariel. Just really glad I was able to obtain the first DFDC couple set of Ariel while it was still somewhat reasonable last year - I'm hoping the future Ariel dolls will match that quality and design.

If this is the only set of the 5 that got the shiny skin, I would guess it has to do with it being an underwater scene? It is a wet look...she's a fish...and if her skin glows a little - how magical :) The skin does not bother me with this set. I actually like everything about this set except for her face. She is still very pretty....just looks a little pulled upward to me. (makes me think eye lift). If I could get past that though (and had more $) I would maybe spring for her.
