Do real 2012 mouse ear-hat pins have a border on the back?

I have heard that some or the more recent authentic Disney pins have borders on the back side. In other words, the mouse-head pattern does NOT run all the way up to and off the edge. Can anyone tell me if this is true for park-purchased mouse ear hat characters? I have Grumpy (#93704), recently took a good look at the back and saw the border, and I am wondering if he is a fake. Pinpics has notes for a scrapper, but not a fake. My Grumpy also has two paint dips.
Many thanks for any help.
