Nobody tell something for 2 days lol :eek2:

Obviously all wait October 17th and 18th. ...... :anxious:

And i have a "idea" for the 18th.. is just a supposition but i tell you: obviously they dont want another BIG crash up in less minutes (like Snow White 2 weeks ago),right? I really start to think they will sell all 5 dolls online...but with Limit of 1 doll for person of 1 princess. You are able to get the princess you want.
I say this just because imagine if they put all 5 dolls available for all. The site will be CRASH up in 1-2 minutes!!!

Who knows... i really wish a thing like that. One doll ,just ONE for order is great,for me. All have a big chance to get her favorite of less 5. :)

Disney has already posted that everyone will have the opportunity to purchase one of each of the princesses online and the product pages for all of the dolls would become active at the same time. They have not posted the time that this will occur yet for the website.
 
Not to mention the number of different dolls online at a given time really isn't going to do much to the site-crashing issue. Its all about server/transaction load & relatively the majority of the customer base is going to try for whatever doll they can. It isn't like having 5 dolls at once will create 5x the traffic; if anything it will create a maximum of 5x the orders. However, they are probably assuming most people are going to try to get the set with multiple dolls per order bringing down the actual number of order.

With today's technology, they can easily (especially given 3+ weeks to prepare) spin up a few more servers to meet the expected load and then spin them back down once they are done. They probably already have plans like this that get implemented when it gets closer to the holiday season.

something that i'd be concerned about if i were a doll collector wanting these dolls -- it seems, in the past, that desirable pin releases of small edition size had also led to server issues -- and comparatively, the doll collecting community seems to be larger than the "hardcore" pin collecting community as evidenced by the fact that these dolls are LE 5000+ and fly off the shelves, whereas a pin with an edition size of 500-1000 would be easy to get your hands on if you wanted one.
 
MoonDance- good vibes out that you will get Poc!

I was thinking today that it was nice getting 7 hours sleep last night and/or not racing to the mall hours before it opens to get a doll. I'm liking that it's a one shot deal (I think).

+1 to MoonDance on the Poc doll. At least you have two chances.

I agree it was nice sleeping in a bit. I like the one shot deal right up until the point I get trampled at the mall:) Let's see what everyone thinks on the 19th.
 
Found out that one of the two stores closest to me (the one that's in a seedy part of town) won't be getting the dolls in at all...hmm, wonder why? ;)

now, I have to find out what time the mall opens its doors (there is no exterior exit from that DS, just the mall entrance) and which one opens first. The one by the food court (which seems to serve early morning breakfast) or the one by mall security?

this is my concern too - the cms have assured me that they are working with mall security to set things up - but I am ready to have my plan!!! I like plans - they make me feel secure :)
I hope they choose to have one line outside managed by security and give us the tickets there - if not I am afraid there will be a race once the doors are unlocked

I hope this is what my store is doing. I should talk to my DS & see. I don't want to get there extra early & wait outside just to find out someone got into the mall earlier than I did through another door!

I too like having a plan ahead of time. For WDW trips I plan months in advance. Hopefully it will all work out. :hsd:
 
I have a plan too. :) My DH used to work mall security at our mall a long time ago; I've gotten the inside scoop and I think it will go OK. I hope. :anxious:

I really can't imagine it would be more than like 15 in each store. If they told us how many are going to be available of each doll online, we could make a better guess. Probably a good idea to call the Disney Store you plan to go to and make sure.

On Facebook Disney Store page they say to all then in the week of October 10th (the next) they tell us some news for online sales and other. I hope they do something smart (and not put all 5 dolls in stores because the site will be crush up - even if they work on that site).
 
Great now I have to find out if our tiny stores will sell them . I only want Jaz and 2 Rapunzels . If I luck out with more Rapunzels as I'm taking hubby and sons girlfriend with cash in hand, I'll let you know Rose . Hoping to walk away with four . If not I know I definitely have 2 and will be online the 18th with 2 different names & credit cards . I know if this pans out you will all want to crucify me, but after being so sick, I deserve to sell a couple on evil bay and go to Disney solo for a few days in December , so shoot me now .
