RULE CHANGE:Anyone can nominate anyone who has less than 500 post. Regardless of how many post you have, you can nominate someone with less than 500 post. You must still follow the rest of the rules and give the reason for nominating them.The saying goes something like this:"It is better to give than to receive"I saw something really cool on the news the other day. They approached a random person and told them they were giving them $500.00. (No I am not giving away $500.00) but I am giving away something pretty cool but here is the twist.They told the person they were giving them $500.00 and that they can not keep it, they have to give it to someone who really needs it and or deserves it. Here is my giveaway:naughty:Anyone with over 500 post can nominate someone who has less than 500 post and here is what I am looking for. You have to tell me in 100 words or less how they have contributed to the DPF forum and made it a better place to be or about a random act or acts of kindness. Someone who had given without taking.In order to keep it fair and should I get a lot of hits on this, the first 20 nominees will be considered. So please number your nominee. If you accidentially duplicate a number, the first one in the post with that number will count and yours will be disqualified. PLEASE PUT YOUR NUMBER AT THE TOP OF YOUR POSTWhen we hit 20 nominations, I will then accept the first 100 votes and the person with the most votes will be the winner of the better to give than receive contest.(I am putting a deadline for nominees and that deadline is December 25th and then for the voting the deadline is December 30th) When voting, you only need to list the number you are voting for. When nominating, you need to say why people should vote for your person. Yay! My nominees are going to be Number 1:

I nominate gbdb4ever. Greg & Debby are wonderful traders. They are always fair, friendly, helpful and prompt (in mailing & communication) and very very sweet. Wonderful sense of humor too.

Just exchanging e-mails with them every now and then makes my day brighter :) They also have a kick-a** collection!

Crystal always seems to include a zap with any purchase, but most recently and probably most notable was the huge 8 pin zap to a member who had a horrible trading experience :) that made me smile

(I love this idea! I wanted to nomimate everyone but it's hard to find people under 500 posts haha)

I nominate Laura(lwrn2)..shes a active trader in our community..she likes to play PIF!
She has been stiffed 4 times by PIF players..and I feel she should be nominated...Shes a great friend,
wonderful trader and she sends great pins in PIF..and very active here as well...We have great conversations
on the phone,so I nominate Laura:)

Ok, it's an absolute total shame that I do not have 500 posts. I am a charter member and on here almost everyday, I just don't post a ton. I am really hoping that someone will consider nominating CaligurlUCR -Crystal . If I had 500 posts that is who I would nominate. She goes above and beyond each and every month to help us out with the PODM releases.

Sadly we can't nominate Crystal. The nominee should have less than 500 posts as per Dan's request. She would be one of my top choices otherwise.

Oh well, Crystal will be "princess of our hearts" ;)

Nominee # 5 : andersonis

She was very kind to me when I was in the hospital and going through a difficult period in my life . She sold me something that she was asking more for and was offered more than her asking price, but still sold it to me for even less . We have also traded and she is a very sweet young lady and very new to pin trading . She has been more than generous in her trades and often zaps me with a favorite character .

I haven’t had the pleasure of trading with them yet, but their taking the lead in organizing the 110[SUP]th[/SUP] Legacy Pins was so helpful. Add to that how kind they are around the forums in other threads, I think they are a great asset to DPF! :hsd:

Keep em coming people. This is great and its nice to know there are so many good people out there who you feel deserve this.
It seems there are some very nice and caring people out there. Maybe I will have to do a runner up too. We will see.

1) How about if two or three or four people who don't have 500 posts each, but have 500 posts collectivley, get together and nominate someone? LOL....I really want to nominate a couple of people...
2) What if someone wants to nominate Iamdisneydan? Do we have to bring in an "independent" arbitrator or must Dan recuse himself...which really wouldn't be fair?

OK, I'm done with the silly questions. :p

First of all, I would be flattered if I were nominated but I am not eligible. I will tell you what I will do. I had done the format the way I choose because the veterans would be the ones to really notice the behavior of new members, however, even some new members have been helpful to other new members. Some of the older members get a bit jaded and sometimes are not as willing to help.

Here is the new deal effective immediatly and I will make a change to the title page.
Anyone can nominate anyone who has less than 500 post. The nominee still need to have less than 500 post.

Now you can nominate who you wanted and I will make a change in the rules on the main post..........

He has given so many people pins and never asked for anything back its NUTS! HES NUTS! But he loves to make other people happy. I dont know many people who give as much as he does. He is a very nice and honest person and im sure anyone who knows him feels the same way i do.
 
lol..im going to think of sum ppl..we have lots of nice helpful memebers here.. I have been tring to get my post up so sum day i can not b so new or get the big pimp trader name...jk but now im over 500 so i guess i posted my self out of this one... good look to all the members here. Oh and thank you Dan.. glad your back and the fun has already started.



update : # 8) Averysfairytale (498 post as of right now) hope that means she is in the running

She is the best trader and so nice. We had the chance to meet her and Brian at a my d pins event. She saved my son from a bad trade and aslo gave him 3 LE pins that were from the set he was tring to trade for. So instead of making a trade for a fake. My boy ended up with 3 real pins.

As long as they had 500 or less when nominated, it is fine.
There must be 12 more people out there. Come on DPF!

(NOTE: I am also keeping track and each time someone is nominated I am looking at how many post they have)

Maybe we can add our posts together & vote for her! She goes out of her way every month for alot of people on here & gets alot of negative comments from some posters on here because of it, but keeps doing it anyways to help out DPF ers with no profit to herself. Thanks Crystal!

Seb and Magon have been great friends and have made trips to DLR for me when I was unable to make the 400 mile drive down there. They have given to Dan and I with no intentions of receiving anything back. They are the kindest and generous pin traders I know!
