I couldn't find my old thread, so I made a new one! :) If anyone could answer these questions I'd be very grateful!

1. Which shops in which parks sell the Piece of Disney Movie History pins?
2. Would I have to get to said shops pretty early in order to pick up decent cells?
3. Does WDW celebrate St Patrick's Day? If so, what do they do?
4. Is there free Wi-Fi in any of the parks or the Disney Village? If so, where abouts?
5. Is there any night clubs/bars in the Disney Village, or have they all gone now?
6. Do you know of any March attraction closures other than Toon Town and Big Thunder Mountain?
7. Is there anywhere for pin traders to trade with each other? I think I remember reading somewhere that Disney no longer provide tables for people at the Disney Village. Is there somewhere else for traders to hang out?
8. Is the Fantasia mini golf course still there? If so, which hotel do I need to travel to to get to it?

:hsd: If I can think of anymore I'll let you know!

Oh, March is a great time to be in WDD provided that you won't run into Spring break crowds :)

Here is your old thread:

http://disneypinforum.com/showthread.php?10206-A-couple-of-questions-about-WDW-Pin-Trading-Nights

I do not know the answers to most of these questions sadly, but #7

There are trading tables in Epcot near the pin store, and of course you can trade with CMs. In Epcot Mouse Gears has a board that comes out, times change. Just ask them :) Also, almost every hotel/resort has a board, hat, jacket etc. in their hotel shop, again ... don't be shy and ask.

I am not sure if you mean Downtown Disney when you say Disney Village? As far as I know there is a vibrant night life, I have not gone with a little kid in tow, but there should be pubs, etc. Also, Boardwalk just outside Epcot is tons of fun. There are street performers and such, just like .... well a boardwalk.

This is a web site I recommend to everyone every time, there might already be answers to some of your questions

http://disneyworldforum.disney.go.com/

Have a wonderful time, lucky you!

1. Which shops in which parks sell the Piece of Disney Movie History pins?

-Downtown Disney: Pin Traders Store
-Magic Kingdom: Frontierland Trading Post and *possibly* The Emporium on Main Street
-Epcot: Pin Trading store near the front of the park (between Spaceship Earth and the large fountain)
-Hollywood Studios: have never seen PODM pins there, but I would assume they sell them at the pin store under the giant sorcerer's hat
-Animal Kingdom: Island Mercantile (there is a pin cart outside the store where these pins will be)
-Also, various resorts may sell them...I believe someone on here wrote that they got some of these pins at a gift shop in the Contemporary once...

2. Would I have to get to said shops pretty early in order to pick up decent cells?

It really depends. No one will know until the pins come out what the selection of cells will be...if there are plenty of good cells with main characters featured on them it will be less of a rush to "get the good cells". Also, if you are going to be here in March I'm assuming you are talking about the Monster's Inc Release? I wouldn't be too worried about that one...the Finding Nemo pins were there for quite a while (with good cells) after they were released.

Also, the Downtown Disney location will probably be the most crowded because you do not need a ticket to get in there.

3. Does WDW celebrate St Patrick's Day? If so, what do they do?

I don't believe the Disney Parks will be doing anything special...although they may have special St. Patrick's Day ear hats and a pin or two.

The UK pavilion at Epcot has a British pub and I'm sure they will be busy, but I would think the most popular place for St. Patrick's Day will be the Irish Pub at Downtown Disney called Raglan Road.

4. Is there free Wi-Fi in any of the parks or the Disney Village? If so, where abouts?

I want to say no...but I'm not positive. I believe they just started carrying free Wi-Fi in select resorts on property. Also...there is a McDonalds on property near Animal Kingdom/ Blizzard Beach that I have heard of people going to for free Wi-Fi.

5. Is there any night clubs/bars in the Disney Village, or have they all gone now?

They are all pretty much gone except for Raglan Road, and Atlantic Dance Hall on the Boardwalk. Might I suggest:

-Drinking around the world at Epcot- although they typically close at 9 PM.
-Taking a monorail/ boat tour of all of the deluxe resorts and stopping for a drink at each.
-Taking a trip over to CityWalk at Universal...it's about 15-20 minutes away and has a much more "happening" nightlife. Also for St. Patrick's Day Pat O'Brian's at CityWalk will be very popular.

6. Do you know of any March attraction closures other than Toon Town and Big Thunder Mountain?

I think those are the biggies, but:

-If you enjoy the "classic" rides, Snow White's Scary Adventures is closing for good on May 31, so I would be sure to ride it one last time. :)

-Also...parts of Toon Town (now a circus-themed land) may possibly be open while you are there. I think Dumbo re-opens on March 11.

-The Liberty Square Riverboat is closed until May.

-The Magic Carpets of Aladdin will re-open on March 10...so you should be able to ride that.

-Also, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street is under refurbishment until March 27.

-Over at Epcot, Test Track is closing in April for a lengthy refurb and apparently they are doing a major overhaul of the attraction. So if you want to ride this "in it's current form" I would also make sure to do that. And the Tutto Italia restaurant at the Italy pavilion will be closed while you are there.

-Typhoon Lagoon is closed until March 17, so that should re-open during your trip.

8. Is the Fantasia mini golf course still there? If so, which hotel do I need to travel to to get to it?

Yes, it is still there. The golf course is not connected to any hotel, but it is in the Epcot Resort area. If you would like to use Disney Bus transportation to get there...take the Swan/ Dolphin bus.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can't take a bus from your resort to another resort- only to one of the theme parks or Downtown Disney. So for instance, if you were staying at the All-Star Movies resort, you would need to take the bus from your resort to Epcot, get off your bus, and then get on a bus to the Swan/Dolphin, get off that bus, and walk to Fantasia Gardens.

@ Merryweather - :) Thanks for the answer! Lol, yes, I mean Downtown Disney. It's called Disney Village at DLRP, so that's what I'm used to saying. Thanks for the link as well, I'll have a look shortly.

@ Becky - Wow, all of those answers are so helpful! Thank you very much! We're going from the 15th to the 29th, so yes, it's the Monsters Inc pin I was refering to. The friend I'm going with collects Randall, so that's the character we'll be searching for, as on PinPics it seems to show a scene that features him. :p Also, St Patrick's Day happens to be the birthday of the friend I'm going with, which is why we're hoping to go somewhere nice for a drink in the evening.

Do you know how to get to that big McDonald's? If I remember correctly, when we were arriving at the All Star Movies resort on the coach last time we went, that McDonald's looked like it was across a massive motorway.

Also, I have another question!

9. Can you still buy the plastic mug at the All Stars Resort which lets you get free refills in your hotel for your whole stay?

I can answer the mug question: When we were there last September, the refillable mugs were still sold. If you have quick service dining plan, it should be included.

Happy Birthday to your St. Patrick's day friend, it was also my sister's birthday :)

This is perhaps, not the best example because I'm pretty sure Swan/Dolphin do not have bus service from Epcot or the Studios, as their transportation is by boat. So for Epcot, you would have to enter the park via the front, exit at International Gateway and then hop the boat. If you bused to the Studios, you would have to transfer to the boat. Transferring at AK or MK you can go from bus to bus.

Considering Randall is not as popular as Mike/Sulley/Boo...I don't think you will have a problem finding scenes with him. :)

Do you know how to get to that big McDonald's? If I remember correctly, when we were arriving at the All Star Movies resort on the coach last time we went, that McDonald's looked like it was across a massive motorway.

I believe it is on Buena Vista Drive, which is the same road that the All-Star Resorts are on. If I am correct you should pass it on your way to the resort.

You are correct..I forgot about that. :) From Epcot or Studios you would have to take the boat to the Swan/Dolphin.

In that case, if you are coming from All-Star Movies I would probably take the bus to Animal Kingdom (because it is the closest), and then transfer to a Swan/Dolphin bus.

@ Merryweather - Thank you for another answer! :p And Happy Birthday to your sister too!

@ Hope and Becky - Thanks for the clarification in regards to how to get to Fantasia mini golf!

We don't drive, so do you know how we would walk to that McDonald's? Like I said, it looked like it was on the other side of a massive motorway, so we wouldn't be able to just cross it unless there's a traffic stop or a bridge somewhere.

Would still really love to know how we walk to that McDonald's that's near the All Stars Resort!

Or if anyone knows any definate Wi-Fi spots in the parks or hotels/etc, that would be swell!

Princess Becky did a fabulous job answering your questions . Kudos Becky
Just wanted to add that my UK friends and my family celebrated St Patricks Day at Downtown Disney's Raglan Road last year and we had a BLAST . There were Irish bands, Irish dancers, face painting, party favors and awesome menu .

:) That sounds great Tinker!

Can't believe we're heading out tomorrow! :( Too bad the Epcot tables have been taken away. Hopefully I'll still find people to trade with!
