My sister's birthday is tomorrow, and she wants to go to Disney Land. This will be the first time since I started collecting that I will leave my books at home! I'll bring a lanyard to trade with CM's though :P Gotta get somewhat of a fix

I know what you mean. I am going close to the end of the month with a friend so I want to ride rides and not trade (too much). I think I'll just bring the CD cases and not the LEs

I've been in the same boat. Jamming my pockets with traders, sneaking off to supposedly hit the washroom, or being all, "No, don't worry! I'll just stay here and hold everybody's bags while you guys ride!" and so on. lol

wheeew thought i was the only sneaky freak. i have actually planned it so when i go to epcot in april i am going on a day my sweetheart has a business conference so i can go in the park alone and to the flower/garden show (which he isnt that into) and trade.....btw anyone wanna hang, i am shooting for tuesday april 3rd.

there are things to do other than trade pins at Disneyland? HUH? no one told me this... 12 years and all i've done is pins... LOL

I am just going to start calling you sensei

I am pretty sure I saw you are the tables pin less and regretting it? That is when you find out who your true friends are... Several people open there books to trade for pins you wanted knowing that you would honor a trade in the future.

I hadn't been to Disneyland in years. Then I had flown into LAX from Tennessee in June of '11 so my girlfriend and I stopped by Downtown Disney. Up until that point, Disneyand had been out of sight and out of mind. Then just walking around down there gives you that magical feeling. Talk about marketing perfection, hahaha. Needless to say I was more than tempted to just go ahead, get a ticket, and go on in. It just wasn't it the cards though that time. A four hour car drive following made me spill the beans to my, naive to that subject, girlfriend on how Downtown Disney can make a grown man go into little boy mode. Hahaha

Believe me, I know the feeling. As I am coming up on the renewal date for my pass, I know that money will be well spent and pay for itself in 2 weeks!

Where do people trade in-person now anyway? Is it still in Tomorrowland outside the shop? I know there is that shop in Downtown but when I was there, I didn't see anyone trading. Do they still have the monthly pin nights at the Paradise Pier hotel?

Most people trade at Little Green Men the Store in Tomorrow Land after dark because they have a light there. During the day most people trade at Westward Ho in Frontier Land. No One trades at Pin Traders in Down Town Disney anymore because they don't have tables anymore. And there is a Pin Trading Night only every other month.
