Hello everyone! :) Okay, so this weekend has been such a busy one. Disneyana was a ton of fun. While we were room hopping my husband decided to find some "traders" for me to improve my trader book. I guess one of our friends pointed out a pin and said, that one is a pretty cool pin and so for the a nice price he bought it and hands it to me. It's a strange pin with a ghost holding a box. I just kinda brush it off and say okay, and went with my day. I got a moment to chat with drb195 yesterday and brought up a strange pin I got from room hopping. He told me a little about it being the hat box ghost. So I get home and start looking things up and I find is so fascinating that it was in the ride for who knows how long. It was only there for a brief moment it seems then disappears.

The pin I have is very cool and interesting. I am not sure if I want to part with it yet but it's very cool. I have my collection but I also like pins that just give me a "wow" factor and this one is just one of those. If you happen to know any more info on either the pin or just the ghost I wanna hear about it! :)

omg, amy! i just saw that pin on ebay this morning and thought how cool it was and added it to my wants list! how weird that you just got it! that's just freaky! congrats on your new pin! it's a great one!

Ah yes I decided recently to collect pins of the Hatbox Ghost. He's an interesting fellow. And rather adorable. I hope with the new movie being about him he'll return to the ride.

The new movie was annouced a couple years ago now; not much information on it though. It's being made by Del Toro. Apparently the Hatbox Ghost will be the main haunting; and he is the connection between a number of Haunted Mansions around the world. Or something like that.

Congratulations! :) If you do decide to trade I'm in need of Hatty pins. :D But anyhow Hatty was the groom of the original bride in the attic (beating heart bride); all other information about his character is pretty much rumors.

I think it was announced During last years comic con and yes I agree, The last haunted mansion was not good haha it had some funny moments but not that great. I'm very excited for the new movie :)

Kudos on the pin, it's a great one! There has not been much info released on the new Haunted Mansion, though knowing Del Toro, it will probably be scarier than the first Haunted Mansion movie. As a HM fan, I'm looking forward to it!

I am hoping its sorta scary. Come on! It's the haunted mansion lol. It should have a good scream scene lol. Just one.... :)

They released a book on the haunted mansion a few years ago, then updated it for the 40th anniversary. They talk about the hatbox ghost and his history. Doombuggies.com has one of if not the only picture of the figure while it was still in the ride. And within this past year, footage of him has popped up on YouTube. It's a very short clip, but still amazing to see. There is a Disney Treasures DVD about Disneyland, and in it Tony Baxter pulls out a maintenance card out with the hatbox ghost on it. And of course, every year there are rumors that he'll be put back into the DL Haunted Mansion after the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay is taken down. They did make one for an auction at one of the Disney events. It looked amazing!

... Can you tell I'm a big Haunted Mansion fan?
