Ok so I was going to order a pin lot for $2 and free shipping. The lot has 50 pins and seeMs really legit.A lot of people left notes saying good seller and etc.I been looking for pins for my collection and just wanted to know if you think they can be scrappers due to them only being that cheap.

Depends. There are people here that sell pin lots for $2 each too. Do they show pictures of the actual pins you're going to receive? Or do they say the picture is "representative" of what you may receive? If representative, then stay away.

This person has pins for $2 each (if you buy at least 3 of her $3 pins, they become $2 each) and you get free shipping over $35.

See:

I counted, she has 26 pins so that would be $52 postage paid (I'm going to guess as a gift though; paypal fee would be $2 if paid as goods). So that would be $54 postage paid for 26 pins = $2.08 per pin.

Just quick note on the feedback - for even the most successful scrapper sellers, the vast majority of their feedback will be positive, only because the buyers don't realize they bought scrappers until long after they left the feedback.

Seconded. I bought a similar lot on ebay, and found three were scrappers, and contacted them and they refunded me for those three, so I left them positive feedback. It wasn't until far too late that I learned more about scrappers and realized every single pin was a scrapper or an outright fake. They were quick to refund me for those three pins because it was so little loss to them when they sell so many lots to mostly unsuspecting buyers.

I'd strongly advise against buying ebay lots like that. I would far more trust sellers here on DPF, because they are around, you can get to know them and chat with them and contact them if you have any questions or concerns.

I bought a $14 lot of 25 pins before I knew of scrappers, I told them to refund my money and not ship me the pins. They quickly refunded my money and life goes on. Odd thing is they sent me the pins anyways, they quickly found the trash barrel...junk.
