dont really trade or collect the dlrp ptn's.. they seem to be harder to get than I feel is worth the effort. Not that special looking, but people go nuts for them, kinda like many of the DSF Marquees. My question is generally, "why?" regarding price or trade value.

Depending on which character you are after they can be hard to get. I have 3 and they were easy to get for me. But I also got them when they first came out and trading was a little easier then. I still have difficulties trading for some of the older ones :(

I feel like whenever a series of pins continues for a long time they become very popular, especially the older ones or the ones that cross hot genre's. PTN's, BT's, Marquee's, Sorceror Hats, etc are all great examples of a long running constantly released series of pins. There are new collectors that come along and get a few and want the rest so they become hard to obtain. They are all also limited to less than 500 each too.

Most people including me trade ptn pins to value not edition size this means its likely for the most recent pins that normal size are 2 for 1 and jumbos 4 for 1. For me its becaue whilst I get them all to trade I pay market price for them each month. It is the way it is they are very popular people are always welcome to pm me with a request bearing this in mind.

the first 3 are the main three that range around $300-$400 (at best) and then the like of jessica, duchess, princesses, scrooge and a few others that can be costly but the majority can be gotten at a fair enough price either when they first come out or when someone just wants a quick buck and sells them cheaply.

I got up to date on these within less than 11 months but then I was solely searching for them.

To trade for the likes of Stitch, Jiminy or Tink you would be looking at a VERY good LE100 DA pin to make a dent in 1-1 or something of equal value but youd need a hell of alot to offer to get a yes for one of those three.

Now its just scary how much they all cost me haha :suspect:
