Reveal conceal madness!!
Ahh thank you. So dumb question, but you could actually see the revealed (gem) pin inside the box when you purchased it ? And 1 concealed (or a rare chance of Rapunzel) was at the bottom but you had to purchase the box to see the concealed? Correct?

Oh no, it is expensive when it goes over £25. How bad was it? Good luck :)

Not a silly question at all! :) I wasn't there so I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that you could see the reveal pin in a window on the front of the box, and then the conceal was in a black bag behind the other pin... I heard people got CMs at Disney to feel for Rapunzel's 2 extra jewels before they bought boxes  Someone feel free to correct me who was actually there....

It wasn't too bad (a little under £20 I think), but then that's enough money to buy another nice pin... thanks so much, I hope I get lucky this time LOL! ^_^ :) <3

This is correct. They sold 2 in a box for $20 (well, $19.95). I should have gone on release day but just waited til my regularly scheduled trip a few weeks later. All except Miss piggy reveal were sold out! :P

Cool, man I so wished I knew in hindsight that this set would be so popular and bought them all when I saw them on Ebay! Nevermind :) do you have any Chalon?

All the ones I like are the jewelled ones (the Princesses!!) I have 3 Miss Piggy, Jasmine & Cinderella... would love a Megara one, though.

£20 is a bit, I hate customs. Atleast you got a lovely song.

Ahh that sucks, Li. :( did you manage to get any through purchases / trading?

Yes, she sold all 21 pins one pin at a time and several additional singles.

Lucky person. I would love to have all the pins. She must have made a nice small fortune on them, though :)

I wasn't even into pin trading then so I can't comment, but I heard Rapunzel was on the Bay for $100 back then... what a deal that would be now! I haven't got any of them... yet ;) :x:

Yes, the jewelled ones are lovely! :) Alice and Wendy are also pretty, but on a whole the set is stunning... I saw a Jasmine in person in the summer and I basically weeped  Lucky you, having some from the series! :) the Megara one seems to be so hard to find! I reckon her and Giselle are the most expensive non-Princess ones... I think Giselle sold for $200 last time!?

Yup, me too... but I am so happy with my scene so customs didn't bother me too much when I opened the package! <3 Do you have a Snow White PODM Sophia? :) (sorry everyone, I think it's a bit off topic now )

I did. I managed to get Miss Piggy off a cast lanyard (the best pin I ever picked off a lanyard EVER!) and traded for Mulan (with a LE Cheshire Cat), Jasmine (with a small flaw, I traded a 110th Legacy pin of Rapunzel for it), Minnie, Wendy, Esmeralda, Jessie (I traded quite a few pins for her), Tiana (I traded a LE250 for that one).

What sucks is that I passed on getting 8-9 of the pins (I would have had duplicates though) for $400. AGH!!!!

Well I wish you the best of luck getting Jasmine. Wow $100 for Rapunzel, bargain!! If only....

No, sadly no SW POMH pin. What scene do you have? Maybe one day I will own one :)

Well you are extremely lucky to get all the others through trades. What one is your fave? What flaw does your Jasmine have?

$400 sounds like a bargain, benefit of hindsight I guess. I am still hoping that the missing pins will be found or they re-release the set at a later point...

My Jasmine has a slight bubble type flaw (that's the best way I can describe it) on the bottom of the pin. I'll take a close-up picture one of these days and post it.

I could stab myself over what I let my Rapunzel go for.

I didn't know the person I traded it to, but I hope so! That is my biggest pin regret.

For us UK peeps, what is that? :)

It's this AWESOME collector show thingy about half an hour/45 mins from Disneyland.... it's not entirely Disney memorabilia, it's all things collector, but there is a good amount of Disney stuff there... I think there's 4 or 5 stalls in the whole place that sell pins (some more than others, 1 lady I went to see only sold Snow White and other Princess pins.) :) Someone else please feel free to add more info! :)

Bahahahahaha! I just looked this pin up on eBay and I showed my son...when he saw the listing he GASPED and asked...."what? Does it have like real rubies or something in it?" Oh, the innocence of a child. Love him!

Sounds lovely! Is it on all the time?

Aww that is sweet! You would have thought for the prices this pin sells at they would be the real deal!

One of these days, I will make it down to Frank & Sons. Are they pricey?

A couple of the sellers focus on mid to low end pins. They're fair and a good source of cheap pins for trading with CMs. Of the sellers dealing with higher end pins, one has really good prices while the other is high but can be haggled with.

Well, it seems that this one sold for $1200.00 ... the price just keeps rising ... I can't believe this...it's ... just... whoa. REALLY whoa. I'm really wondering what the 2nd listing will go for ...

I found out last night that I may have a friend of a friend who is willing to sell us her R/C Rapunzel and it was mentioned that she would sell it at less than that price (thank goodness)...so we have our fingers crossed and hopefully will find out more about it today. I'm just biting my nails off in anticipation in the mean time :anxious:

@tyleet/Gillian - I am so, so sorry to hear that! I can imagine how you must just be like "WHYYYY!?" but like LeopardPolkaDot pointed out, hopefully it went to a good home and maybe that person remains eternally grateful to you for trading it to them :)
