So somehow I ended up with a DisneyStore gift card that I need to use so I'm thinking of using it to buy one of the LE sets they are selling and see what I can trade them for. Which of the following sets do you think would make the best traders (adjust for price of course)?

Finding Nemo 3-D Pin Set (LE 250) - $80 for 4 pins

Mickey Mouse and Friends Pin Set (LE 250) - $70 for 5 pins

Lady and the Tramp Pin - Christmas Countdown 2012 (LE 500) - $49.95 for 1 pin

Cinderella 5 Pin Set (LE 250) - $130 for 5 pins

Lady and the Tramp Pin Set (LE 500) - $90 for 6 pins

Mickey Mouse Club Pin Set (LE 500) - $80 for 5 pins

Mickey Mouse Pin Set (LE 250) - $70 for 4 pins

I was thinking the Lady and the Tramp set might be the best bet but I'm fairly new to pin trading so I don't know how popular lady and the tramp are. Especially since teh set has been around for 10 months and isn't sold out.

The mickey mouse pin set (LE 250) I can't even find on pin pics. The Cinderella one is probably the most desirable (I think) but also the most expensive so I don't know how the value is.

I appreciate anyone's help. I just want to turn this DisneyStore gift card + some cash into pins I really want :)

We really like the lady and the tramp countdown (it's nearly christmas) and it has a lot of other stuff (dial/pin on pin/easel/glitter). The set of Lady and The Tramp is nice too (no, we don't collect Lady and The Tramp). We've seen some of the nemo 3-D pins at the park and you have to be careful with those....someone had them in their book and they folded under the weight and it just didn't look right. Most people -not all of them - don't like the Fab Five nor collect them, so we don't know much about the other sets or their values (though they are nice).

We say that you get a pin pics account and add your 'wants' so that people can see what kind of pins you want and then they can say like, 'well i'd be for THIS SET since I have some of your wants" and then you can tell who wants what (to see the better trader) and you can think about which pins you want more enough to buy that certain set for them. (If you're just buying the set to trade it).
 
Figured most didn't collect the fab 5. Guess it's the Lady and the Tramp countdown, Lady and the Tramp set, or the Cinderella set. Lady and the Tramp set might be the winner. Thanks for the input!

And yes I need to get my PinPics all set up!
 
I hope you get the pins you're looking to trade for. If you're getting it for yourself - just choose the one you like best regardless of whatever other traders value the most.

I don't have anything in particular I'm looking to trade for but I've got this GC to use and so this seemed like fun. I wouldn't mind just keeping the Lady and the Tramp set since my mom is in love with that movie. I'm pretty new to pin trading so I figured maybe I could trade the set for some other stuff I might like more.

I dunno, it's all in good fun! Thanks for your input. Lady and the Tramp set looks like the winner. Reviewers love it and I wouldn't mind keeping it.

I'm fairly new to this to so I may not have the right answer. Mickey Mouse Club and Fab 5 aren't the most popular thing even though I collect Mickey Mouse Club and just bought those two sets at DS. :)

These here: http://www.disneystore.com/walt-disney-world-mystery-pin-set-2-pc/mp/1301699/1000286/ seem to make good traders. You can get a lot more pins for your money and then use them for small trades one on one or multi trades for a larger pin. You will probably end up with some suplicates but I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing.

Why'd you haaaaavvve to tell me that! Now, I'll spend the rest of the day torturing - - I mean, talking myself out of ordering goodies on DS.com. AAAAAAAAAAAh! :D :D

Regarding your pin choices, it depends on your ratios and whether the respective traders have pins you want to trade for. Even then, its not a guarantee they will come calling. If there is any chance you may keep these, go with the ones you'll enjoy best.
