Does anybody know if there will be a Year 3 for these pins next year? I would love to see a Princess and the Frog, Sleeping Beauty and an Aristocats one come out. Which ones would you like to see?

At this moment, no there is no plans to continue the PODM pin series. From what I've heard, it's due in part to the company/vault who supplies the film reels needed to cut up for the scenes. They aren't very eager to provide any more films for these pin releases and have been increasingly difficult to work with on getting new films. I also heard that the profit isn't justifying the cost to produce these pins but this is all speculation and rumor I believe (can anyone confirm?). In any case, I'd *LOVE* to see them do Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, Hunchback, Brave, Nightmare, Princess and the Frog and Wall-E. Those would be my personal favorites to see done :)

I have also heard that the Pluto one will be the last :( I would have loved to have had a Fox and the Hound, Sleeping Beauty and Aristocat cells

I heard that while this will be the last of these PODM. they have plans in the works for something similar or a re-vamped version in 2014... maybe. but that could just be a rumor started by hopeful collectors.

I would love to see a Sleeping Beauty but it was done on a bigger film so it would have to be a jumbo pin... I could soooo go for a jumbo of Maleficent as a dragon!

As an avid collector of these, I tried to avoid rumors and speculations... But this are the exact reasons in which I heard they had decided to discontinue this line of pins...

Yes there are rumors of a one or two year break and then a re-release of the series, but this has not been confirmed in any way...

We also would like a short break from them, but would love to see them return in a few years with all new releases or even to re-release different scenes of the movies they already have the rights for... We can all think of releases they just dropped the ball on... BaTB was such as disappointment for me...:(

Me too! Those would be awesome! I would have to collect so many Wreck-It Ralph ones though! Such a good movie! And I hope if UP was done, Dug and Kevin would at least be in some of the frames!
I know right? I LOVE Wreck-It Ralph! I'd try to get all the scenes too, especially the ones with Sugar Rush:) And if UP was done, I hope they would have some with Ellie as a kid because Ellie rocks!

But what did you get, Moe? You always have the most impressive collection when it comes to these.

After (barely) surviving the craziness that was the Beauty and the Beast PODM release, I will be a very happy girl when this series finally comes to an end with Pluto's Christmas Tree. As beautiful as these pins are, the stress, frustration, and aggravation associated with these releases just isn't worth continuing the series - not even after a hiatus of 'x' period of time. At least, it just isn't worth it for me, but of course if the series resumes, like an idiot, I probably will be powerless to resist and will collect them against my better judgment. And it will be against my better judgment, because since you saw what the BatB release was like: can you imagine was a release for Brave, Up, Sleeping Beauty, Wall-E, among others, might be like?

I will copy my previous post to this thread....

My boyfriend and I started listing reasons why they should keep the PODM series going (I sure hope they do!). Reasons why to keep PODM going: Nightmare Before Christmas, The Incredibles, Pocohantas, Lilo and Stitch, Brave, Wreck it Ralph, The Princess and the Frog, Mr. Toad's Adventures, The Adventures of Icabod Crane/Sleepy Hollow, Up, Winnie The Pooh, Cars, The Fox and the Hound, The Astrocats, A Goofy Movie, Roger Rabbit*, Mary Poppins*, Bedknobs and Broomsticks*, The Three Little Pigs, Wall-E, Ratatoulle, Spirited Away (How awesome would that be if they started doing the animi stuff lol), and many more others to continues the pin tradition for at least another year lol.

**Yeah I know they have real people in them. Cool. LOL.

Sleeping Beauty would also be awesome too! I'm surprised that one hasn't come out in the last couple of years as a PODM.

NO. NO. AND NO.

As much as I would love an UP PODM. I would not want one released as you could imagine a 2 day prior line-up.

I would have to work harder than GOODY_MOE does. :-)

I would be second in line, right behind Master for an UP PODM release. I hope they do not do this to me because I would have to take two days off from work in order to prepare myself (physically, spiritually, emotionally) for such a release. Please no UP release!

I suspect if there is eventually a third series there will be online wristband distribution, increased edition sizes, and/or blind boxes. I also wouldn't be surprised if they started selling at LGM only. Aside from the blind boxes, this is what happened with the Piece of Disney History pins before people completely lost interest in those.

I do not think they would up the LE based on movies like the Lonesome Ghost or next months release? If the next release of 12 pins would consist of UP, Wall-e, PatF and other popular sell out movies, then they would have to do an online distribution. Based on the DLR Alice Event, Disney was smart to let the non-passholders, blocked outs and out of town entries win the top tier for purchases. With them also giving some Premium Passholders the top tier as token to say they were "fair" with their "random" winners.

But even if an UP PODM was LE 5000 blind box, I would still need them as many would and of course there would be more scenes to collect. Making it just as bad as most now must have 3-4 scenes of this past years releases. Most of the movie would be cut up for this series? Each individual scene would be less and most likely 1 or 2 of the scenes would have only minimum frames.

UP was created at 23.976fps, so for example, the Mailbox scene may be only 23 pins while The scene with Kevin, Carl, Russel and dug at Paradise Falls may 5 seconds making it have 115 scenes?

Now splice up the entire movie 5000 ways and having 30 scenes so that's 166 pins per scene. With some having more and some having less. For me, I would need to have the best of each of the 30 scenes. 30 x $25 = $750. That's without tax and if I got them at cost. Many collectors may just have to get 3-4 if their best scenes so an unpopular movie may have 3000 pins sitting on the shelf with the grail scenes sold out.

I hope this is a dead series and collectors can collect what's already out there. Just like another series.

Imaging what Goofy_Moe would be thinking if they revive the series at a higher LE?

Pshh.... I don't even want to think about an up release. Grant would want every scene. I'd be in line forever! Lol.

Sadly, they may make it but every one be the same scene or only 5 to choose from. :( I wouldn't be surprised if they did that.
