Hey everyone!
So, I was looking at my traders list just recently after getting rid of most of my upside down trades wants ratio pins, and realized I only have 39 traders :(

This question has probably been asked before, but what is the best way to get traders so I can trade on here with you all? I feel stupid asking this.

Also, what characters should I look out for? I know Rapunzel, other princesses, Stitch, and can anybody think of any others?

Unfortunately, I live in Ohio, and I have no way of going down to WDW or DLR anytime soon. :( Ohio sucks sometimes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Not a stupid question at all. Keep your eye on the DPF Marketplace (under "Pins for Sale/wanted") - Sometimes DPF members sell great pins for low, low prices.

A lot of my current traders came from Alexa Disney and jadestarr.

P.S. As for characters to look out for, you're right about Rapunzel and Stitch, for sure. Jessica Rabbit and "Beauty and the Beast" are also popular collections. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head right now... I think I'm having a brain fart.

If you have someone that is "Park Local" that you have traded with regularly, you can also possibly make arrangements for them to pick pins up for you. I have on occasion had folks pop money into my paypal and i pick up pins for them. I can't do it all the time because some releases are just horrible or sell out same day. I cannot always get to the park the same day an LE releases. But I am sure there are folks out there who can get there pretty quick and easier. You just need to find them. :)

Thanks Sora for the advice! :) I forgot about Jessica and BatB! Also PODMs of course, but I will end up wanting them for my collection ! :D

LOVE your reindeer! I had a couple of people ask me if I could pick them up some pins and I was wondering how I would have enough money. I can usually pick up 4 at a time with my daughter. Thanks for answering the question.

That is definitely a good idea! I will have to ask around :)

Here is how I go about getting traders and pins for my own collection:

Email traders / buyers and sellers and ask if they are selling any pins

Check out other auction sites other than the usual

Find other websites (legit) that deal with pins / badges / memorobillia

Just have fun searching the net - I come across so many awesome pins, some now very htf. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! :) Very helpful ;)

I just got into the hobby recently and all the pins I have, I like and don't want to part with. I've been buying in on a few of the mystery pack sales in the Pins for Sale/Wanted forum in the hopes that I get something I like, but if I don't I'm hoping it's a good trader.

I find that the top characters that will definitely trade are Ariel, Alice, Jack and Sally NBC, and Jessica. BATB and Figment are also good characters for trading but not as good as the ones I mentioned. I usually leave the trading events with all my ariels, alice, jacks, and jessicas all traded for... As far as where to get good traders, check the sale/wanted section frequently. If you don't act quick enough, the "good priced" items sells out fast. I buy from ebay occasionally but be careful as there are fakes out there. Read the reviews other buyers have left and make sure the seller is established so they don't run you for your money. I occasionally go to garage sales as well, people are known to sell these pins at low cost without knowledge of its value.
