I see no harm and that's how I voted. Not everyone is posting with negative intentions. This is an open forum and for now, a free one; there are good and bad posts while others are poignant and touching and then some are downright stupid.

Personally I'm kinda tired seeing polls created to bring about change. Collecting pins is fun and sometimes silly, we're not trying to get a bill passed through congress.

Come to think of it, this poll to gauge what people think about "should I" threads is no different than the actual "should I" threads this poll was created for... just change "I" to "we" and you have a poll.

Now, who wants to create a poll to see if we should ban polls or not. :D
 
I do polls to see if my opinion is shared or not. I think that is acceptable. Rather than talking behind peoples backs about it and snickering.

I just don't get it. And now I see we are subject to having these types of threads "lunch bumped" to keep them up at the top of the pin discussion forum?? After multiple people said they'd be interested? :facepalm:
 
If anyone was annoyed or so at my thread regarding the Dug and russell pin then I apologise as I have posted one or two threads before now asking if people would be interested, and that is purely on the basis I know it would do moderately well but the DSF pin would be the biggest pin I would have auctioned if I do go ahead with it as I am in two minds, for me personally the thread is not to gauge interest in anyway or to point out hey, look I have the pin what you wanna gimme gimme, more to ask do I or dont I.

As you do see some HTF pins getting great bids and some not so great, and sometimes the bids just dont come to you the way you hope etc and for me anyway the thread responses give you fresh perspective on the question you have in your mind whether to go ahead or not when you can not set a reserve and are thinking *what IF people bid stuff I dont want*

End of the day like a few have said, dont like it dont read it as it dont pop open by itself XD I dont auction stuff alot and I only asked the 2nd time last week and I am in two minds still so my thread was pointless in the long run as it did nothing for the argument in my head to do it or not XD
 
Hmm, why not offer it in the trades portion first? You can gauge interest levels that way, without posting "should I auction or not"?

I figured if your starting a thread, it might as well be the Auction thread.

Its not like we have to pay for the auction to list it. I have listed a pin in the past and no one bid on it but still, it would have been just as wasteful a time to ask "Should I?".

Just my opinion!
