Re: Knott's Pin Trading - they've released many in the past year. Some are really, really nice commemorating current and past attractions and some are generic looking, mostly of Peanuts characters. There are two types of pins: The ones you can buy and the ones on employee lanyards that you have to trade for. They don't have cheap hidden mickey-type pins, so it can get expensive if you see something on a lanyard you want because you basically just have to buy something off the rack to trade. More and more employees are now wearing lanyards, although they ARE permitted to wear their own personal pins, so beware not everything you see is necessarily up for trade. In particular are employee-only pins released each year for Halloween Haunts that the public cannot buy, and I've noticed they all love to wear and show those off. The best pin to come along so far IMO is the one for Knott's Bear-Y Tales, the aforementioned dark ride with the bears going to the country fair. It's the most beloved extinct ride they had, and having a pin for it was a major thing for us Knott's fans. As I understand it was an extremely low LE of less than 200, but there should still be some there. If anybody needs me to pick up one I can, or I can also trade.
