So I can't go until Saturday morning for the Alice Train Set release, what do you think are my chances of getting the whole set? This is my major collection and I don't get a chance to go to the Soda Fountain very often. Any advice is appreciated.:wiggle: :p

I don't see more than 75 people staying the night. I think the resellers took a hit on those Lady and the Tramp trains in Feb. I think an early Saturday arrival is fine. For sure the less characters will remain past lunch. The more popular ones may be claimed by 10am or so, but who knows. I won't be there so have fun!

I agree. Resellers can stay away because there's only a few bucks profit to be made here. It'll be nice to have a release where true collectors can get what they want without risking their life, their job and their health.

What do you guys feel about the Iron man pins? How about the soda bottles?.....not to hijack this thread but figured I could ask here instead of creating another thread. Thanks

I think DSF should make it mandatory that you purchase the entire set. Not only could it cut down on the chaos but then the less popular characters don't hang around.

I don't understand the collector who wouldn't want the entire train. Why have a pin of a character by itself sitting in a train car without the rest of the train? I don't mean anything mean by this. Just confused by it.

THIS! I don't get why you wouldn't want the whole set. I want the entire set of everything that I get, unless the other pins are ugly or not characters I like, but this set is all the same movie, so why wouldn't you want the whole thing??

Hello!

You can always check the sales thread or the trading thread for this information. Usually people will post what's called a "pre-sale" which guarantees you the set. These individuals usually camp out for you or stay in line when you can't make it to a release. If for some reason there isn't a pre-sale then you might want to post a "wanting" post in the sales or trading thread. People might be willing to sell you or trade you for the set.

Just be careful where you post these types of posts. You don't want to get on the mods bad side. lol

Happy Trading,

-Jonathan

Ideally that would be great. But I know there are Cheshire completists (hardcore!,) Alice completists, Mad Hatter fans, etc. The more popular the character the more types of collectors and collections are out there. Also, resellers know they'll get more for the popular characters. Just another way to show how how people like to exploit our hobby. They can make all the AIW they want. I'm only buying the PTD's. I think someone that works there loves Alice, or their friend does. Because the sure do pop out a ton of AIW crap.

I might get a chance to go on Saturday morning, not sure yet but if I do I can get a set for you.
Each pin is $12.95, sale tax is 9% in Los Angeles. There are five pins total. If I go I will get you the set at $80 even, let me know via PM if you want the set.
