sad to say. this is not the first time things like this have happened. Usually it is done with dsf pins or other le pins. Sum real nice re-seller will sell a bunch of pins b4 they even come out. Than after the pins get all hyped up and the price others are asking is more than what they sold it for. they will send out a note and say how hard it was or that they spent more time so they need more money now. Its a bunch of BS and not a nice way to treat people. But it is how sum people act. They don't care about Disney or what it stands for. they just want to make money and get good deals for them self. Sorry you had to b a part of a deal like that. you should not walk away but run... run fast and do not look back. There are other members here that do not mark stuff up and would never do that to you or any one else for that matter. Good luck to you.
 
It's bs. I'd never do that to anyone. If they weren't asking enough for it then shame on them for not researching it better. I think they should honor it or get negative feedback AND you name them here, to warn others.
 
Am I the only one who thinks this is not a big deal? Yes, it is annoying and the seller should have been confident in his or her price before listing the pin, but either you accept the new price or you don't. I'm surprised so many of you think further action should be taken or that people should be warned not to buy from that seller...
 
This is not a question about price. This is a question about ethics. The seller should have honored the listed price. Yes, it is a big deal because here all we have is trust. We don't all know each other personally. Changing a price after an agreement has been made is not a good way to treat anyone.

A very similiar situation happened to me about a month ago here on the forum. Someone offered me a PODM for $425. I said yes and asked for their paypal info so I could send them the funds within 24 hours. During this 24 hour duration the seller PM'd me and said they spoke to their friends and after consideration the seller decided to back out on our transaction because they felt they were underselling said PODM and could trade it or sell it for more.
I don't know about you this irked me for some time since this was the first time someone pulled something like this on me.
 
I think this isn't just bad business ethics, it's bad karma all around. Being greedy will come back to bite you in the end. If the seller wasn't diligent enough in their research of said pin and has all ready entered into a contract of sale with someone then they should have to honor the original price. It IS a big deal because it will give other sellers a bad name.

YES...Looks that way to me. So b careful. Many people care about this stuff and it is a big deal to us. I think its also nice to read how other people feel about it. If you think its ok and no big deal. I would guess other people will take note of how you feel. I for one do not trade or have anything to do with people that think things like this are ok. We don't all know each other well. So its very helpful to know what some one may feel about sumthing. :anxious:
 
I recently spent a week and a half negotiating a trade, only to send my pin out and later that day get a message that the other party wanted to put the trade on hold. I said that I had already mailed out my pin, so they said okay that they would send out the pin the next day. three days later, they said they received my pin and it wasn't as big as they expected, so they were gonna mail it back to me and not mail out their pins. first of all, the dimensions are listed on pinpics, so how can the pin be a size you didnt expect and second of all, I feel like thats just an excuse to not honor our trade. I was trading for pins to give to another person for their collection, so it was a blow for me. getting the cancellation message actually ruined my night! I hate when people dont keep their word!
 
This is definitely not acceptable behaviour. The only time I have ever pulled something from a deal is when I either could not find the item or found a flaw in it, and when I found flaws I would contact the other party and send pics and see if it was still acceptable to them before proceeding. Once a deal is in place, it is in place and should be adhered to. I have had times when I realized that I undervalued something....so what? I've had times when the other party did so as well. That is how pin karma works...you win some, you lose some, it all evens out in the long run. But to pull this kind of crap is reprehensible and it makes you wonder how often this individual does this. Also, if they won't hold to their pricing, who says they will hold to actually delivering the item in question? Best that you walked away.
