I knew it wasn't a typo when they talked about an LE Eric doll on DS.com. Maybe this is the start of Disney releasing more male LE dolls, probably depending on how well Eric sells.

I'm just happy Ursula is full-figured, even if she isn't perfect. I am still getting her.

I hope we get some better up close pics of Ursula and Eric soon. I think it's kind of odd that they chose to do Eric in an outfit like his wedding outfit even though Ariel is a mermaid for her doll. It would have been nice to have a wedding Ariel to match LE Eric.
 
OMG! Nice! I'm so getting Ursula and Eric! It's a shame that there's no LE Wedding Ariel doll to display her next to Eric, they will look glorious! Probably Ursula will have an edition size of 1500 like all the other Villains, but Eric could have either 500 or 1000!!!
 
Ok, now im worried.

It says that these will be available for D23 expo in the Disney Store. Does this mean that almost everything on that video will be exclusive to the D23 Expo? Because I kind of wanna get every mermaid merch, with the exception of the Eric LE. Ursula is gonna be really hard to get.. I hope they made 6000 of her too.
 
It's been previously reported that Ursula will be LE 2000, which is 500 higher than normal for "standard" surprise villain releases.
No idea what they'll give Eric, but I much prefer him over Ursula and I'm glad the guys are finally getting some attention. I want Phillip!
 
Any word on when they will release Ursula/ Eric? My biggest fear is that one of them will be a D23 Expo exclusive, and I live all the way in Florida and can't go! :anxious: :anxious: :anxious:
 
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Oh my God! I LOVE THIS URSULA DOLL! She's not "perfect" or whatever, but oh my God!!!! I love it. My thing is that Ursula is based on a drag queen. I saw a "Dirty Disney Drag Show" and the finale was Little Mermaid themed and the Ursula looked almost exactly like this. I can not wait for this doll! I want!!
 
Ursula looks pretty good. I like her. Eric, well, do I really want an expensive prince doll just because I like collecting this line? I will have to mull over the idea. I normally would not collect any male dolls.
 
OMG this is so exciting, does anyone one if the designer couples and the LE 17 line are coming out in the same month? if so its going to be extremely stressful

Unfortunately, they will overlap. LE Ursula & LE Prince Eric are set for release the same day that DFDC Belle & Beast go on sale in-store. Also, if you pre-order the DFDC doll set, they will most likely finally charge your credit card in preparation for sending out the shipment around that time as well... October is becoming the "evil" month for the wallets/bank accounts for Disney doll collectors! :(
 
Oh boy, I don't know how I feel about LE 17" Ursula & Eric. I really hope more photos are released before they go up for sale. II know it's not a bad thing, and the design for Ursula was created after this..but I just keep picturing Divine in my head when I see her.

do we have any details as to when these items (DFTC collection preorder and the LE Eric and Ursula) will be released? I know the video states that we will be able to get them at the expo. But it does also mention on the disneystore blog that the DFTC will only be available for preorder online and they emphasised the onl in block letters too. But based on that video it sounded like everything would be available at the expo?

so does that mean everything will be up for preorder at the expo??

also what about for those not going to the expo? They need to stop with these teasers and give us more info especially if we are going to be spending so much on them LOL.

I am soooo confused :S.

I see Oogie Boogie when I look at the Ursula doll. But I really like her and hope she's accessible. She and Eric are really exciting releases that I thought would never happen.

I can't see them being D23 exclusives since they were mentioned on the DS website--unless that's why the description was taken down. Really, I think Disney understands that not everyone can make it and wouldn't want to exlude so may of their fans.
 
I agree. I am sure that they doll set pre-order will most likely be online on DS.com the Monday after the Expo. The D23 Expo will have the DFDC Snow White & Prince doll exclusive, and probably the other dolls may be there for display purposes only. The actual non-limited merchandise (journals, mugs, clothing, etc.) for the DFDC may be available at the D23 Expo but then available online afterward. The pins... who knows? I am sure that the Disney Store got a lot of flack from fans that could not make it to the D23 Expo 2011 and missed out on things like the pins and lithographs back then, so I can see them showcasing the collection at the D23 Expo to drum up interest, while selling non-limited merchandise and the D23 Expo exclusive dolls only.

LE Ursula and LE Prince Eric appear to be ramping up to be the blu-ray release date surprise releases, but you never know if DS.com might pop up with pre-orders for them, too.

I just watched the video again and he does mention at the end that you can get all the items at the expo. So one would assume that would mean include the LE Ursula and Eric, even if it means just to preorder them. It just makes me question whether or not they will also have the designer set on preorder there as well.

Btw I am glad they made Ursula her full figure form which would be what was expected if they were to do a LE of Ursula anyway as the LEs are all replicas of the movie so that is good to see. Would be good to get more details and imagines from Disney soon!
 
I have to pick and choose what I REALLY want, due to finances.....So, at this point, I am leaning towards gettin Prince Eric because I have the Mattel limited edition Ursula and I LOVE that version of her and her box is wide for her tenticals. However, I'm probably going to buy a box of the little mermaid Vinylmations. Especially, since the BATB Vinylmations, sold out so quickly!!!!. In a perfect world however, if had tons of $$$$$$$$ my OCD self would buy EVERYTHING!!!!!! :drool:
 
I am honestly really surprised that they are actually releasing a LE 17" Eric. I guess he is one of the more popular princes, but I feel like Flynn was a pretty popular, important to the story, male character and they didn't make a doll of him. It also makes the entire collection seem "off" (for me), since we are now lacking a Snow Prince, Naveen, Flynn, Beast, and Prince Charming.

Eric's outfit does look like it is inspired by his wedding ensemble, so I am still holding out hope for a wedding Ariel. They did make a wedding Rapunzel so I don't think it is completely out of the question. If they can release two Rapunzels and two Meridas...they should definitely make two Ariels considering she is one of the most popular princesses. Otherwise I think it would be kind of strange to just have mermaid Ariel and wedding Eric. Maybe Eric and Ursula will be D23 exclusives, and wedding Ariel will be the "suprise" DVD Release? I guess we will find out but I'm not giving up hope just yet! :)

I don't think I will be purchasing Ursula or Eric...especially if Eric is at the usual $100 price point. I don't really collect Villains so I'm not super excited about Ursula...although I would have totally purchased a Vanessa but that's not happening. I would rather spend my money on a few of the Fairytale Designer Couples and the corresponding pins.

I'm also curious to see what Eric's edition size is, and if he will be a D23 Exclusive or not. :)
 
If Eric and ursula are d23 exclusives of are being preordered there as well. Maybe we'll get a surprise doll for the October DVD release I mean honestly I feel like ursula is a bit of a let down because she is not as posabls as the other dolls she's like s fancier version of the classic doll. Maybe we will get vanessa or maybe even a surprise wedding ariel/water sparkle dress. I feel like it will be vanessa if there was another doll that is a surprise. We got a classic doll and maybe even a vinylmation chaser too. She's finally being recognized so I feel like she could be the true surprise doll and Eric and ursula are bonus hype dolls. The little mermaid is very popular and Disney knows the can make money off it. I think it will be a surprise vanessa if we get one its always been a villain on release day and if ursula is being sold at d23 I think they have something else up their sleeve for the DVD release that's why it's a surprise we aren't supposed to know yet
 
I don't think Eric or Ursula will be D23 exclusives, I just think you'll be able to pre-order them at D23. I don't think they'd limit LE Little Mermaid dolls to the expo, I think they'd be losing out if they did that.

I really want Ursula, I don't really care if she's posable or not because I'm never taking her out the box to pose her anyway. I've missed out on all the awesome Ursula dolls over the years because I didn't start collecting Disney dolls until PATF came out and I decided I'd buy every Tiana doll, so I'm going to be happy with just finally getting a LE Ursula doll.
