Hi Guys and Girls,

Hopeing for a little advice,

I have this pin;
Pin 80446: WDI - Princesses and Princes on Thrill Rides - Rapunzel & Flynn on Big Thunder Mountain Pin
trade: 17
wants : 231
pin80446

Im considering trading it but I dont really know what to ask for it or what its value is, I know its got a massive wants to trade ratio, but as ive never had one with those sort of numbers I feel a little out of my depth,
I know people will say it depends on what and how badly each party want something,
but I just thought Id put it out there to see,
Does anyone know what its cash value might be? would you say its designer pin worthy? would you trade it soley on it wants/trade number or LE size? Would you maybe have a set pin only that you might trade something of this value for?

Thanks in advance for any advice, And Please Please Dont pm me or make any offers, I am ONLY Considering and wondering on the value at this point, thats why i didnt post in the tradeing section.
Thankyou! :-)

I recently purchased mine for $110 here on the forum. I traded it away for my husband's grail.

I would say its trade-able for some of the designer pins, but not all, not like Belle or Rapunzel or Ariel.

It sold on ebay last week for $153.08, so not designer princess value yet :) so far it has been around that value. The lowest value I saw it for last month was $100.99, so right now the price is around that margin of $150ish. According to the sold listings on ebay, of course.

And by designer princess value, I mean the princess's pins value that chroll posted in her comment :) Belle, Rapunzel, and Ariel are being sold for around $500 and up. Not saying those are the correct prices, but it's just what I have seen here or on auction on ebay.

also, I had TONS of people requesting to trade me. I knew I would only trade it for either pins in my siggy or my husband's grail. when people asked me, I told them, and someone went out and hunted down my husband's grail then added a pin for me, and we traded. so let people know what you have in mind, even if you think it's too outrageous!

Ok thankyou for that, I'll have to have a think about what my most wanted is, at the moment I dont really have any! lol I try to avoid wanting pins I know I cant afford or trade for, this is the first time Ive had a really good trader! lol At least I know not to ask for a designer, I had thought I might try and get my niece a Repunzel but I wont worry about getting her too much at the moment!
Thankyou

Anymore imput from people is welcome :-)

I know this pin is worth a pretty penny, a pin I am looking for at the moment. I would say around $125 is a decent amount. I had never seen it sold for anywhere close to $150 ever until recently. But I could have missed something lol

This was one of the 2 "runt" Tangled pins if you will. This and the DSF pink mirror pins were always the cheapest and least desirable Tangled LE's for 2 years. This one because Flynn's eyes are missing and the mirror because it's kind of just a poor design. The mirror was $15 forever, this was like $35 about 14 months ago. There has been a lot of new Tangled LE's since last summer. Disney finally caught on that it was hot and is pumping it out. After the Tangled PODM and Tangled marquee started going up and up the other Tangled pins started to rise with new people starting to collect them. I don't see either of those two pins really climbing like the others though. They are probably offered for sale more than the rest of the pre-PODM Tangled pins.

It also depends on whether the one you have is real or a scrapper as the entire series has been scrapped (odd no warning on Rapunzel, but this is what I've been told by quite a few people)

Im fairly sure mines orangial, It was on the orangial card, bought from a member here. I cant see any signs of it being a scraper. do you know if theres any trade marks to look out for in the scrappers?

You could trade for multiple pins. If the trader agrees, go for it. I received quite a few pins for some of my Beloved Tales

If yours has pupils, they were drawn on by someone or it is a fake. I remember a few people using super fine sharpies to make small pupils. But none of the original had pupils.

it definitely wasnt a fake. I thought none has pupils, too, and I tried rubbing them them off to see what would happen. they looked like part of the pin. I checked on pinpics, and it says that some had pupils and some didnt.

We bought 5 when they were first released at WDI and 2 had very faint pupils and 3 did not, I still have 1 of each in my collection.
So having pupils dose not mean its a Scraper.

Mine was from its original owner and it too has pupils, small but present :lurk:

Same here and he purchased his from WDI. This didn't just happen for the Tangled pin, my Pin 80468: WDI - Princesses and Princes on Thrill Rides - Aurora and Phillip on Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye doesn't have eyes on either Aurora or Phillip. It goes so scary:eek2: that I had to buy another pin.

First off, you have a very nice pin tankgirl. Like other's have stated, it isn't Designer Princess worthy, but you might be able to get a lower-end Designer Villain pin out of it depending on which one since those go considerably lower than the princesses do. I just got the pin recently to complete the set and boy is the Tangled one of, if not my favorite in the set.

oooh, yes, mine had pupils. I dunno if that made a difference or not.

From what I've seen after looking the set up extensively in my months hunting it down, it rarely makes a difference. The pupils are amazing and yes, having pupils is a definite plus in the end (I was lucky enough to have pupils on all my pins) but when it comes down to it, pupils does not indicate authenticity (some authentic have missing pupils) or scrapper (since some sharpies could be used) but its always nice to have pupils.

It also depends on whether the one you have is real or a scrapper as the entire series has been scrapped (odd no warning on Rapunzel, but this is what I've been told by quite a few people)

The sad thing about this set is that, I have NEVER (I even made a thread about it out of curiosity but it's gone now) heard of any factor that separates the scrapper from the authentic. I'm very sure at this point that this set was supposed to be LE300, but Disney by mistake made 500 and just got rid of 200 good pins. The reason being, every pin I have ever seen and heard of in this set has apparently been scrappered but I have never read of any easily seen thing to separate scrapper from authentic.

If yours has pupils, they were drawn on by someone or it is a fake. I remember a few people using super fine sharpies to make small pupils. But none of the original had pupils.

Some of the originals did in fact have pupils. While some could also be sharpie, it was hit or miss with many originals have pupils and many not.
